  1. Actually AI is much better than in previous installment of ARMA (moving from cover to cover, flanking etc.) and vehicle pathfinding is also improved (vehicles do follow the road when you set even a distant waypoint, and they will only go offroad if that path is much shorter and there is no road nearby). Try testing in editor before you speak. And btw, when people discover how to make AI that can behave like human, all of us won't be needed anymore. So take it easy... ;)

    Movement speed tweaking

Developers version: 0.61.105957. Like few people mentioned before, crouching and standing jogging/sprinting speed are exactly the same, which is a step back from Arma 2 (you couldn't sprint when crouched) and leads to everyone moving in crouching positions all the time. I noticed that fatigue kicks in slightly earlier in crouching stance but it still doesn't have that big negative effect since you can steady your aim pretty fast when crouched even when breathing heavily. My wish is, try slightly reducing crouching jog/sprint speed or increase standing jog/sprint speed and make each of those stances have their unique functions.

    Movement speed tweaking

Excellent changes, feels much more real now (sprint was ridicilous before), keep it like this.
  4. I would like to bring attention of dev team to relatively small, but still annoying feature/bug of Arma 2 which is related to fire modes. Problem is when you switch fire mode on your rifle from default fire mode (eg. full on AK107 -which stands for fully automatic) to semi automatic, and then switch to another weapon and then switch back to your AK107, fire mode goes back from what you previously selected (semi) to default (full). Same applies if you want fully automatic fire mode and then switch it to semi automatic. I know it's not such a big problem, but if you could get that fixed I would greatly appreciate it.
  5. Here's 1 more suggestion (oh no, another one). Make "study corpse" on dead zombies possible so it can be seen which player shot that zombie, which would make tracking or hunting for a certain player possible. Or maybe when you study road flares or thrown equipment, something of that sort.
  6. You can't tell from the stars which direction you are going or what time it is. Oh, but you can. On a clear night you can find North Star, if you know how. Operation Flashpoint had a mission where you were shot down behind enemy lines and had to find your way back home without compass and only thing you knew was that your base was somewhere in the east. I learned as a little kid how to find a North Star by looking at a night sky and you can imagine my fascination when I discovered that you can actually locate it in the game. Same thing goes for Arma series. That detail along with many others is why this is the best game ever. By the way, the mod is really great, and as others have already said, would be nice to see it in Arma 3 also.

    [CAMP] Afghan War Diary

Finished it, it's a nice little campaign and a lot of fun. Thanks for effort. Storyline: 6 Playability: 8
  8. Run and shoot. Don't you hate when you run and enemy is waiting behind the corner and there's nothing you can do until your character stops, which sometimes happens like second after? It could be usable only in very close combat because of high spread (something like when you're suppressed). And yes, it is possible in real life.

    [CAMP] Afghan War Diary

Mission 4: Female POW sometimes dies without apparent reason (think they go to roof and die from jump) so you must manually tell them to go outside by using stairs. :) And, IR strobe on extraction point is not working for me, heli just keeps on flying like its not there. Gonna try tomorrow again. Mission 8: Helicopter takes you directly to base without going to objective town to clear it and free hostages. Anyway, like the missions so far, good job.
  10. +1 Any other FPS doesn't come even close to Arma in terms of that special feeling like actually being there...you know, when you start guessing distance and azimuth of some random guy you see on the street. ;)
