Hello, I'm searching for a video that was posted on YT during early development of A3 showing a retracted skybox / weather simulation. If I remember correctly the footage was of (CUP?) Chernarus; a soldier was walking down a hill (1PP) towards a village in the rain with the weather clearing from behind. The soldier turned around and you could see the sun coming through the overcast above the hill. There was a specific reason why this weather simulation was eventually not implemented, though I cannot remember why that was. I'm positive one of you can help me, thanks in advance.

Does someone else notice the wheels of the Nyx not being in sync with the track? They rotate too fast. More on the Nyx: When you command the vehicle turned out, the hatch of the driver blocks your forward view.

@14:37 Were those crisps scripted? :')

Tac-Ops Mission Pack Military Operations

Can someone confirm that, once completed, missions Avenging Furies and Disintegration Point cannot be replayed? -
Yes, but it doesn't serve any purpose anymore?

Very immersive, gj! Is the 'optics' mode considered redundant? http://83clan.com/armaMbt/or/Arma2-MBT-West-DriverView.jpg

You do know the video you spam in your signature is extremely annoying when reading the forum on a mobile device? -

Yes, you could finish the campaign and replay every mission in another role separately (not being forced to the chronology of the campaign), but then you wouldn't be able to migrate accumulated gear to the next mission, could you? -

Is there another (better) way to play the alternate role of the narrative without having to 'revert' the (mini) campaign? -

Disintegration Point - Special Forces EDIT: Little typo in the debriefing dialogue : GUARDIAN states 'Le' instead of 'La Trinité'. @13:37: -
I like the idea, but mine clearing has to be systematic and thorough; you could go the manual way after you deployed your bangalore though...
-
Didn't encounter it during the campaign, but is it possible to place markers/flags near mines ingame? I'm assuming the civilian population does not have the equipment to let little red triangles automagically appear... EDIT: Which has already been proposed a few posts earlier. :')

Not sure which campaign you're referring to; 'East Wind' has missions on both Stratis and Altis...

If the 'Orange' in the title has anything to do with the Netherlands, it is either going to be an RTS-mode or some naval assets; What did the Dutch achieve that is relevant to the history of warfare? During the seventeenth century, the 'Golden Age,' the Netherlands not only had a formidable navy for the European theater, it also allowed the founding of colonies oversees, the protection of them and the birth/rise of the V.O.C. (Dutch East India Company): the first multinational corporation in the world, and the first company to issue stock. The Dutch royal navy of today is less legendary but does pack some (small) submarines that play a niche role in NATO: Brown Water & Special Force Operations. And these happen to be replaced/updated in 2025, just in time for 2035...

I agree. Prototypes like Project Argo could also benefit from these compact game mode tests.

If you did know: yes... If you didn't know: no. ;)

You do know your GPU (HD 530) uses shared memory?
-
Okay, but if the game needs 12+GB, and your system only has 8GB, what other choice does it have except using the pagefile?
-
Am I correct that you have 8GB RAM, and during your session (64 bit) A3 used (incl. pagefile) 12.7GB? My A3 sessions (mainly vanilla) never use that amount of RAM, and I have 32GB.
-
Does it? I monitored my pagefile usage some weeks ago and it wasn't used during that A3 session...
