And if that doesn't mean something. Eventually, they HAVE to get it fixed. Bumf, to get potential buyers to commit. Then when they fire a tanks main gun or an ebr they realize the sound is so over modulated the sample is fudged. They don't have to fix anything they don't want to, I'm guessing with devs working with ace sound mod, that will be the unofficial official solution.

The sway and fatigue have been works of utter fiction since the game released, I'm sorry but i have to agree with baZti here and more some. Even before it was broken, it was silly, huge swooping figure of 8's that just get faster when your tired, only being able to hold breath for 5 seconds? my six year old can hold her breath longer than a spec ops solider of the future it seems. When firing a weapon the simulated recoil should be towards you, ie scope gets larger for a second then sways a little as you find your aim again, not pull the trigger and go into the figure of eight so heavily that your aim goes so high or low that you totally loose your target. Goblin, people shouldn't have to mod the game just to experience a small degree of realism. No amount of dlc content makes up for the lack of features in the engine, features that every other arma game has had. -

Last main branch update appears to have changed the sound cone properties, the properties i used in the past have a different effect now, its almost like its 2D. What has changed?

Much needed for weapon makers and simplifying config layout is always a bonus, very good news indeed. Also I'm looking forward to seeing progression with the sound engine. -
SoS is also discontinued for now, just too many changes to the game and not enough features in the audio engine to make it worth my time and effort.

I thought I'd add a little more info to this thread. This was tested using standard rifleman kit. Each test was set up against the counterpart ie mx hitting opfor standard vest. Test spans 100m to 400m which is the standard operating effective distances for battle rifles. All weapons used SOS scope and the Diamond was used as my aim point. No averages are taken just the raw data. Player Vs AI in Empty Editor The second test was an online test, same map and mission only results were quite different in places with the addition of shots disappearing after being fired. Also as a side note, nothing is happening elsewhere on the map/mission. Again no averages taken just the raw data. Player Vs Player in Empty Editor

Hi DNA or Dwarden, can you find out if there is any news about environment sound occlusion (environment blocking sound) and if its going to be added to the sound engine as standard? If there is no plan for it, how would you people add this aspect via mods?

Ah its a shame its not stand alone :( Would it be possible to make a lite version that didn't have all the other features, that could be used specifically for MP kind of like a GPS only displaying your current position? ie not revealing enemies etc.

Hey mate, I took the list from the arma2 tools, plus if i try it without *.cpp it doesn't binarize .cpp's for some reason :confused: Also now the addon maker searches through my whole drive irrespective of folder selections, and then just crashes everytime.
