    For now, the buildlog.md file is the way to access info on the small iterative changes (In spite of the exotic file format, it's just a text file really and can be opened with notepad etc.) Cumulative changelogs might gloss over too many small things that dev users notice as WIP (not necessarily broken, but not complete) getting "fixed". We cannot really curate changelogs when the content published at the weekly deadline is "as is" rather than curated to begin with - in this regard, we have to do things differently to BIS' Dev Branch. Fewer "logistical issues" for us though maybe? Major changes are still marked in the same way as the stable build Changelogs, with ^ @ + - etc. symbols

    There are probably about half a dozen other T-72 variants we'd end up making before that one. All Czech T-72s are based on an older T-72 turret shape without the T-72B's frontal armour. So we'd need to model a T-72A/T-72M1 first. And if we did one of those, things like the M-84 series for SAF are seen as a higher priority for early T-72 derivatives, than making something to fill a non-existent gap in GREF's arsenal.

    The bow modules drop forward on the real ones. They're usually up like that until the pontoon is close to shore Pic shows the range of travel they can have

    It's how it is since they came back from the desert and went to places like Poland, Estonia etc. Either they've had to cover some of the kit up to make it winterised/waterised and restricted airflow, or it's part of signature management so some of the electronics don't light up like a Christmas tree through IR. So have added this to keep certain kit cool. Seems like a general improvement to the whole vehicle since the mast/rack setup for all the stuff in the back seems a lot sturdier.

The green end-caps are pre-cleaners to scrub some of the dust and shit out of the air going in to it.

    Is it a Jackal 2, or a Jackal 2A? Asking because it has some features of the 2A's armoured doors like the seals around the edges, but the 2A's doors are horizontal along the bottom edge. Jackal 1, Jackal 2 and Coyote have doors that are slanted along the bottom edge (and along the whole outward side up from the wheel arch) but aren't sealing https://i.imgur.com/ZnkayNV.jpg

    No. 2A46M-5 is distinctive because it has a muzzle reference system above the barrel. This, and higher build tolerances for straightness and rigidity are undoubtedly significant parts of what accounts for T-90M's apparent improvement in the accuracy of its gun over the T-90A/T-90SA. T-90SA lacks the new muzzle reference system, so is evidently using an older 2A46M version (IIRC 2A46M-1 and 2A46M-4 were to fit T-80's autoloader, so it's not those versions). And naturally it's not using the T-90M's Armata-derived FCS since it lacks such parts of the pointing system. Currently though, our T-90M's sighting system doesn't significantly differ from the existing T-90A's systems, due to lack of time/availability anyway.

    Yes the driver's thermal NVS on the T-90SM is functional. So are rear-view day cameras for the 2016 spec T-72B3 and T-90SA Festival did do the original version of the T-90SA as well (i.e. pretty much T-90A without Shtora dazzlers). The difference on the 2016 SA version is that the ERA side skirts are the same type seen on the 2016 T-72B3, and now also the T-90M variants. It also has the previously mentioned rear-view camera à la T-72B3 and a box on the back of the left track fender à la T-90M. IIRC the box houses an Auxiliary Power Unit. T-90SA with this 2016 configuration are what was sold to Iraq recently.

    Really, the difference is that the AM version was proposed for the Russian military to improve T-90A and the SM/MS version is the version for the export market (like the T-90S model Festival has done is the export model of the T-90A that was already in the mod). So far as the models go RHS T-90AM is in the original "Proryv-2" (Breakthrough) configuration from ~2012 and T-90SM/MS has changes that were introduced on the configuration that was demonstrated in the Middle East from 2015 and updated in 2018 at Russia's Army exhibition. The version demonstrated to in the Middle East had some additional features like LED lights (similar to T-14), a commander's hatch that opens backwards instead of forwards, a thermal viewer for the driver, changes to the ERA layout on the hull and turret, and various other small changes. The initial Proryv-2 version was only demonstrated with a PK-T, and the NSV-T was added late on to T-90MS after Russia identified further improvements that have lead to its own Proryv-3 configuration. Proryv-3 seems likely to be what Russia finally adopts. What was shown of Proryv-3 in 2017 looked like a bit of a mix of parts from previous versions (no LED lights, but 2016 Kuwait hull ERA configuration) with the addition of KORD, plus a few other visible changes that don't completely match the previous two iterations. So it's difficult to say exactly what features that have been on the previous domestic demonstrators vs the export demonstrators, will carry forward in to what Russia wants the final configuration on its own tanks to be. The vehicle shown at the Army expo in 2018 was a T-90SM/MS in a mostly similar configuration to the 2016 Kuwait demonstrator. However it was updated with NSV-T similar to the 2017 Proryv-3's KORD, but different ammo stowage for it. As such, it seems to be the latest version.

    REME badged berets can come in practically any colour. They post Light Aid Detachment (LADs) to a Battalion of infantry, armour etc. etc. and wear a beret to match the host Bn whether it's the RMP or the SAS. Default one is the standard Army/Navy/Marines dark blue though.

    Well nobody told us that 0.4.8 will be the last version of RHS yet, and made us all pack it in and quit modding. So for now, I can't think of a reason it will never be available. We just don't know when 0.4.9 will be.

    To illustrate with further evidence: A more typical M24 here without the additional MARS rail and cheekpad modifications in the video, but the threaded and tapered muzzle to accept an Ops Inc suppressor The modifications to the barrel aren't observable when the suppressor is fitted. So it was not deemed necessary for Redphoenix to make an entirely separate model and class for the sake of simulating this variant of the rifle

    The IAR gets by because really there are only 2 models so it's easy to keep them updated and consistent (more if you count the other 416s, but the M27 has more significant differences from those than the SCARs do from each other). Also the model already existed from before we had customisable grips, and had to have extra models for each one instead. It probably wouldn't exist otherwise, and did come close to just being removed when we updated to using customisable grips. Between USAF and SAF we already have 6 SCAR-17 models (3 different barrel lengths and US and Euro selector switches for each). So it can already be a burden if some small adjustment needs making all models, and checked over to be certain that that named properties, section counts and UV sets don't unintentionally end up where they shouldn't be.

    We've added some of these for the M249 but it's not really possible to do for all weapons because the bottom rails are a variety of different lengths: Suitable position of the bipod relative to the grip position is not a fixed distance.

    I've made top-mounted and combo attachments to fit the SCARs. It works the same way as the HK416 versions work via a script to swap the attachment. i.e. they might disappear when you re-open the Arsenal and modify your weapon again :D

    Can see in the picture it's CROWS II. It's an M1238A1 with the TAK-4 suspension and LED lights, so built to a later spec than the oldest SOCOM RG33s that had CROWS I
