  1. To bring things back in the right direction. Looking forward to the Blitzkrieg update, really nice to see some field craft going on with the foliage on the helmets. I love seeing long lists of uniforms and variety, it makes each soldier unique, but still uniform......made sense a bit more in my head, but hopefully someone understood my point

throwing my hat into the debate cause its interesting. I have read two books from the Sherwood and Nottingham rangers (By tank into Normandy, and Tank Action) both of which are by tank commanders. in both books they mention ditching their stens for German Mp40's as soon as possible. Also in both books they talk about the same incident in which a fellow tank commander jumped into his hatch and dropped his sten which discharged and blew his throat out. Its not the first time i've read of Sten's discharging after being knocked or bashed. The point about the stens being made to quickly replenish lost stocks is the key to everything here. the MAB and the Sten are designed for completely different circumstances. If we hadn't lost France, then maybe the Sten would never have existed and a more precision designed weapon might have emerged from the British. If i had to chose, i probably would pick the MAB, maybe just for the samurai vest (nickname for the ammo vest that the paras had), but one key point that could tip it for the Sten is the Warsaw uprising. Because i have heard tails of the poles making homemade stens from designs smuggled to them by the british.

  5. hi there sorry if this is quite a simple answer that i'm missing. I've found your static line configs in the function viewer and read through them and found the parts about the AI. Trying to work out how to implement it though, am i meant to put it all into a script to be called in the mission or is it designed to just activate when i jump out cause so far only i have left the plane. Again apologies if the answer is blatantly obvious, but i've tried working it out myself and come up blank.

with regards to the launchers i think you have to go in and edit the characters skeleton, which is why most mods haven't done it, if i remember correctly. Cause it has potential to go wrong.

yup worked it out. so basically how you do it is throw down a flack. then pop an invisible helipad in the sky. then you put a trigger on the flack so that the flack activates it by being present. in the on activation part you want to put: G1 doWatch T1 G1 is the flack name and T1 is the target. that gets it to look at the helipad like so i believe that if you replace doWatch with doFire it should shoot at it. I'll give it a test and edit my post if it works. Edit: Yeah no unfortunately DoFire doesn't seem to want to work.

i remember in arma 2 there was an old trick with putting an invisible helipad in the sky and getting them to target it. I'll see if i can dig it up.

    Faces of War [WW2]

so i attempted to recreate some ww2 pictures using Faces of war and Rismark's ww2 poses pack. at the time i thought they were good but then i compared them to the originals and it was like eeeeeeeeeeeeeehhh....not even close. But ah well its good practice i'll keep trying to do better, anyway thought you guys might be interested to see them. here's original number 1 and here's my attempt and here's the second original and my attempt like i said when you compare them side by side mine are nothing like the originals hahahaha. I at least hope it makes your guys stuff look good, if it does that then i'm happy.

ah the good old Webley, providing officers the chance to blow their brains out in the mess after a faux pas. The PIAT i envisage many hours of fun with, same with the Vickers. The Webley i see many hours of me charging machine guns shouting Hurrah! as is only appropriate. All round sterling work guys, guess i'm gonna have to dig out the tin hat for the next update tpM, your piat sounds like a giant spring lobbing a shaped warhead...which it is, so i'd say good job!
