    Faces of War [WW2]

    In other words, it's working fine, but it's missing a proper animation. If you have any experience with making animations for A3, I am sure FoW Team will be more than welcome to port it in game. And for future reference, please have some more respect when commenting here, for the sake of developers and other users. :)

  6. Could you check if AI on Lafette in bunker is actually targeting enemy AI? Could be the distance issue, but if you say it works fine when placed outside the bunker we'll look into it. It was removed from Eden a while ago due to having some issues, but if you placed them before in the mission I think they'd be still available.
  7. Hey everyone! It's time for another preview on Red Devils and Desert Rats ! With @El Tyranos back full time, we had a lot more progress in the last week. Some assets were made and ported as planned, but surprised like LCI left most folks on discord and Twitch speechless. Armed with four Oerlikon 20mm cannons, and a speed of 25-27 km/h, Landing Craft Infantry is going to be a fast and efficient way to transport bigger amount of infantry to beaches. This is not enough for you? We have good news! We are introducing LCA - Landing Craft Assault, primarily British, but also used and modified for 2nd Ranger Battalion for D-Day. To make landings and travelling with boats more immersive, we decided to upgrade our ships to ShipX simulation and add more wave breaking particles around them. Our terrain designers have also been busy, working on El Alamein, Pegasus Bridge, and Tobruk, making them as historically accurate as possible which will certainly make any WW2 fan go nuts! But what would our terrains be without custom made assets for certain terrains: Chateau de Benouville Sign near El Alamein in Italian and German As always, for live updates join us on discord!   9. Yessir. Not only half-track, but some other vehicles too have to be updated to Tanks DLC physx standards. Will be fixed for the next bigger update or even sooner.
  10. Another week, another update about Desert Rats & Red Devils Like previous week, this week is also mostly focused around sound improvements. LAxemann has been working restlessly to bring realistic and immersive sounds to WW2 and IFA3 community. Other than weapon sounds, he has also been working on vehicle sounds: Panzer V, aka Panther Sd. Kfz. 251 BM-13 or better known as Katyusha Note: sounds presented are still WIP On the frontline, No.4 Commando unit had an opportunity to test out new terrains as part of their African campaign: Tobruk, 1942 As a conclusion we are happy to announce that one of our main developers, El Tyranos, is once again ready to put hours of work towards IFA3 and its future projects.
  11. Considering it's for campaign, everything used in screenshot is in IFA3 - try typing in "gore" in object's search bar. We have multiple dead soldier objects that we added with US Reborn update a while back. We are unsure when because we are looking for a best way to implement it to satisfy both realism and playability. But eventually we will implement it in the future.

While still enjoying and exploring throughout fixes, updated Colleville, and new terrain by Gunther.S from our last update, we decided to give you a little progress on what we are working on for Red Devils and Desert Rats: North Africa to Germany: Ones who are with us on discord might have noticed that we opened a lot of our development channels for public. We wanted to include community and give you opportunity to see how and on what we are working on. At the moment, our busiest channel is audio development channel. There, one of our audio gods, LAxemann, is redoing most, if not all the sounds that haven't been touched by his magical fingers. Another more thing we tested last night in MP environment is something "Mad Jack" would be proud of, but we will keep this one as a semi-secret. Terrains are also going to be a big part of the next update, as United Kingdom was deployed all around the globe in WW2. For now, we will focus on African and European Theatres. One of our terrain designers also decided to improve his terrains by creating and importing custom objects. Swurvin's album of objects can be seen here. Last but not least, we will also add more Singleplayer and Multiplayer content to the mod. We will not release details for now, but teaser-screenshot can't hurt.

  17. At this point it still doesn't have a thread here as author is still figuring out the name. Little about it though; it is a WW2 mod made by Simcardo and is focused around adding M43 American uniforms to Arma along with some other gadgets, ranks, and unit insignia. If you want, I can inform you when it will be released, or announced on forums. For now progress can be seen through screenshots posted by simcardo and me on Arma 3 Photography thread and IFA3 and FoW discord. Cheers!

  22. Thank you for your input, but you will have to do some more research on the topic, and most of all, don't use games as a historical reference. First of all, "green" uniforms that you provided as evidence from COD WW2 is M43. Unlike the rest of the equipment, uniform was slowly issued through infantry as military branches were still ordering M1941 so actual uniform was taken on in late 1944. Another thing is that you are using screenshots from uniforms while they were still in development process so some textures have changed from that point. We do agree that some things are not perfect, but we completed our goal which was to bring back US faction to the game and people seem to be enjoying it so far. At some point we might add infantry M43 along with updated version of airborne one, but right now we have other priorities and plans for the future. Stay tuned! What? Difference between ranger vest and M43 is more than obvious. As seen on screenshots, it was issued to rangers, and so we configured it to 2nd Ranger faction only. We are always happy to give an opportunity to motivated modelers, so feel free to send us an example of your work!
