Erratic 10 Posted October 1, 2010 We just couldnt hear them from behind all that wool.. ;) RiE Hahah! :D
Dwarden 1125 Posted October 1, 2010 there is classy saying 'two weeks indefinite' which was used for patch coming to www.darkspace.net (free 2 play MMO) and was about patch which took instead of 2 weeks just over 1 year to come :) but the good thing is that even that indie studio overcome it and the project is back alive
kylania 568 Posted October 1, 2010 Obviously BIS has started working on Valve Time when they say things like "two weeks". :) You should just stick to the time tested Soonâ„¢ for all ETAs! heh
Dwarden 1125 Posted October 1, 2010 don't worry ... Valve time ... that's completely different dimension :)
danny96 80 Posted October 3, 2010 all features from BAF is availible in the patch 1.56 so no reason for buying that. (BAF adds only a few features - campaign, better quality of soldiers and vehicles and a few new missions)
Zipper5 74 Posted October 3, 2010 First, it's patch 1.54, and second, did you not just contradict yourself? But if you're happy with the current 64x64 textures and the ridiculously compressed audio, then suit yourself...

Not to mention it only costs the equivalent of a couple of pints (Edinburgh prices). You would be daft not to get it.
bboy 11 Posted October 4, 2010 Is it possible to buy somewhere BAF on DVD disc in full box with the booklet like Operation Arrowhead? I want to have whole colection of this god given game...
Zipper5 74 Posted October 4, 2010 Is it possible to buy somewhere BAF on DVD disc in full box with the booklet like Operation Arrowhead? I want to have whole colection of this god given game... Nope, the BAF DLC is strictly DLC for now. ;)

bez 10 Posted October 6, 2010 hey all, i am wondering, if i have ARMA 2 and OA from two separate retail DVDs where should i buy the BAF DLC from, steam? sprocket? How will I be able to connect it to my already installed two games? BTW, OA installed itself automatically into ARMA 2 path and combining them. i guess steam is out of the question since it's installed in a totally different path. what should I do than? thanks, Bez. Damu 10 Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) *Looks at calendar* Obviously BIS has started working on Valve Time when they say things like "two weeks". :) You should just stick to the time tested Soonâ„¢ for all ETAs! heh There is already a material, which should answer your question. :) It's "classified" yet. You have to search underground channels. ;) But it's out there... Edited October 6, 2010 by Damu
ziiip 1 Posted October 6, 2010 I assume that means BAF was succesful.
stegman 3 Posted October 6, 2010 Nope, the BAF DLC is strictly DLC for now. ;) I guess there will be a GOTY edition soon enough, with ARMA2 + EagleWing + Arrowhead + DLC(s). So, whats the next proposed DLC?
maddogx 13 Posted October 6, 2010 I guess there will be a GOTY edition soon enough, with ARMA2 + EagleWing + Arrowhead + DLC(s).So, whats the next proposed DLC? At the moment, there is lots of speculation on a PMC (private military contractor) DLC, due to the new ION, Inc. website that contains some hidden info on characters, a possible campaign, some new vehicles and perhaps even a new variant of Chernarus. It's the reason we can move to speculation thread or general DLC - What do you want. Let's keep this thread for BAF. :p
bez 10 Posted October 6, 2010 SProcket is your best bet. thank you for your replay, but i get the feeling from your answer you are not 100% sure if it's compatible or not. Even though it's only 10$ i won't buy it if i won't know it's compatible for sure. Does someone know for sure? some devs maybe? this is so confusing, the least BI can do is write it somewhere down what BAF version is compatible with what OA or what ever. There is STEAM, that is for sure won't work, and is probably compatible only with STEAM games. There is SPROCKET, is that compatible with all versions? or only with SPROCKET OA? And than there is GAMERSGATE and IMPULSE which I know nothing about. Now all I need to hear is from someone who have BAF and have OA or COMBINED ARMS or both ARMA 2 and OA on RETAIL DVDs. I need to know it works. BI, i think it's funny i want to buy your products but you actually make it hard for me, all i need is a little INFO. thank you. maddogx 13 Posted October 6, 2010 @bez, I can tell you with 100% certainty: yes, the Sprocket DLC does work with disc versions of OA. And yes, I speak from experience. :)

STEAM version of BAF needs to own OA on this service already (this covers also A2:CO) ImpulseDriven version of BAF needs to own OA on this service already Sprocket version of BAF is compatible with any distribution of ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead / ARMA 2: Combined (include retail and these from STEAM, ImpulseDriven, GamersGate, Direct2Drive etc.) note: SprocketIdea.com is our service and thus the income goes directly to us ... Direct2Drive and GamersGate version of BAF is like Sprocket and should work with any distribution of ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead / ARMA 2: Combined Operations

Dwarden 1125 Posted October 6, 2010 Mad Dog X, Dwarden.Well Sprocket it is, can't wait :) just remember you must have patched ARMA 2 to 1.07 and OA to 1.54 before installing BAF
bez 10 Posted October 6, 2010 just remember you must have patched ARMA 2 to 1.07 and OA to 1.54 before installing BAF 40 minutes after your first answer i was already playing the mission Grand Theft Info (had allot of fun). Every thing went very smooth. Ordering and payment took about 5 minutes. Seconds after i received a download link and a serial. Download took about 20 minutes on 350 kbs on average, (i am in israel on a 4MBit connection). Installing took about 2 minutes. Every thing is working and I am very happy. I just want to say it is a real pleasure to have devs answering your questions, that is not obvious these days. To all BI team i wish best of luck and keep your way of doing things supporting the community and PC gaming (which is not obvious either today) Sincerely, Bez. a loyal customer since 2001.
