ray243 11 Posted May 20, 2010 Hmm since when such weapons have to look "used" or "dirty" or "rusty"? They usually armed before flight and disarmed after. Just that they look too clean like out of the factories.
nodunit 397 Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) Hmm since when such weapons have to look "used" or "dirty" or "rusty"? They usually armed before flight and disarmed after. it depends on the sensitivity of the weapon and type of platform it is used on, for example helicopter weaponry will be far dirtier than fixed wing due to the fact that it has more contact with the elements. Sand and dust amongst other things, cleaning it would be like washing your hands every time you get dirty while working on the guts of a vehicle, not to mention it is all sealed so it's not that big of a deal. For example here is a 'dirty' sidewinder http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6f/AIM-9_Sidewinder_on_AMX.JPG note what little wear it has is most likely due to handling. Although upon reflection that may not be the best example because that is an inert missile. And here is a hellfire missile in iraq http://www.visualintel.net/Army/Systems/AH-64-Apache/080526-A-4607V-001/645713892_ZtnXq-L.jpg Of course this also variest on the theatre and I don't think Chernarus has many places with lingering sand or dirt that can just be kicked about. In short the most dirt you will likely see in this theatre is scratchy and paint smear. Edited May 20, 2010 by NodUnit

rksl-rock 1300 Posted July 9, 2010 Nice to see them in OA. :)Noticed they are hot when watched through TI though. Bright white or black through bhot. I doubt Myke has had chance to actually update them for use with OA's thermal stuff.
[frl]myke 14 Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) The Aim-9 has its text inverted on one side... Has nothing to do with the replacement pack but how the proxies are defined on the planes/choppers. I guess you're refering to the Sidewinders on the AH-1. Blame BIS for flipping one proxy upside down. Remove the replacement pack and look, it's the same with default BIS weapon MLOD's. Noticed they are hot when watched through TI though. Bright white or black through bhot. Did a quick check but can't confirm that. Looks normal (although without any heat signature at all) on my side. Scratch that, shouldn't test with empty vehicles. Thanks for reporting, will fix it asap. RKSL-Rock already told me how to. [frl]myke 14 Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) GLT Airweapons replacement pack 2.0 Update Time: July, 11.2010 Content: - Airwepons replacement pack for ArmA 2 only: - glt_airwepons_rep_a2_cfg.pbo - glt_airwepons_rep_a2_cfg.pbo.GLT_ADDONS.bisign - Airwepons replacement pack for OpA and CO: - glt_airwepons_rep_oa_cfg.pbo - glt_airwepons_rep_oa_cfg.pbo.GLT_ADDONS.bisign - Server key The following models are replaced: - AGM-65 - AGM-114 - AIM-9M (replaces AIM-9X model) - R-73 - FAB-250 - GBU12 - Mk82 Also it splits up the Kh-29 into: - Kh-29L laserguided - Kh-29T IRguided for compatibility, the original Kh-29 ammo class remains untouched so scripts referring to those will still work. According to this, the following planes will have adjusted loadout: Su-39 Kh-29 switched to laserguided versions. Su-34 Has 4 Kh-29L and 2 Kh-29T Fixes: - [OA] fixed: missing TI causes to show missiles very hot when loaded on vehicle. Thanks to RKSL-Rock for solving this problem for me. - [All] fixed: speeds aswell as ranges where far from realistic values. - [All] fixed: addon doesn't write itself to missions requiredAddons anymore Ammo speed and ranges: AGM-65 ====== Speed: Mach 1.3 Range: ~27km AGM-114 ======= Speed: Mach 1.5 Range: ~8km Kh-29L ====== Speed: Mach 1.2 Range: ~27km KH-29T ====== Speed: Mach 1.2 Range: ~12km AIM-9M ====== Speed: Mach 2.7 Range: ~17km R-73 ==== Speed: Mach 2.7 Range: ~19km Vikhr ===== Speed: Mach 2.6 Range: ~10km 9M120 ===== Speed: Mach 2.5 Range: ~7km 9K114 ===== Speed: Mach 2 Range: ~6.5km 3M11 ==== Speed: Mach 1.7 Range: ~23.5km 9M311 ===== Speed: Mach 1.4 Range: ~4.7km Stinger ======= Speed: Mach 1.2 Range: ~2.8km Strela ====== Speed: Mach 1.3 Range: ~3.2km Credits: AIM-9M, AGM-65, Mk82, Ch-29, R-73 and FAB-250 are made from scratch by myself. GBU12 bases on the Mk82 as warhead with guidance section from UK Paveway500 made by RKSL-Rock. So credits for guidance MLOD and textures for him. AGM-114 is very loosely based on BIS Hellfire MLOD but was almost completely rebuild by myself. Reference pictures for texture provided by NodUnit. Imperator[TFD] 444 Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) I've noticed this is somewhat incompatible with the GLT FLIR and Flares mod? Particularly with the SU-25 Edit: Okay upon further investigation it seems that it's only the CHK-29 SU-25 that has the issue. Uhh I didn't touch the config of any plane with GLT FLIR and Flares. I only added flares to the UH-1Y and MV-22. Edit: Just tried the GLT Airweapons and the ChDkz Su-25 ... still got flares. What other mods are you loading? Edited July 19, 2010 by [GLT] Legislator
