Looking really good Arb, Its indeed becoming a great piece off work,

keeping my eye on this 1 for sure

The thing i loved about Afgani Village was it felt like a believable map, like a real place, in most all parts the clutter was perfect... just them rounded walls didnt fit:p i hope this can achieve the same effect... new maps rock:D

Very nice looking mate! The colors are usualy what makes or brakes the reality looks of a map. So far i find it very nicely done, although always hard to judge by pictures.

Only thing that is a bit to green for my taste is this grass:

Are these trees default from A2, custom, just custom textures?

trees are default Arma 2 t_salix2s

only the colour of the grass has been changed.

I use the same trees as well for my two afghan maps:)

cool, what area of afghanistan you doing?

also what textures have you used for the roads, the roads on mine look ok but look too dark from the air.

arb: I recommend you retexture the roads, but you have to test out AI after that. This mud road is way too dark for desert (I use it on Duala).

One is about middle afghanistan, covering around the shekhabad area. and the other is up north more in the kapisa province. Which area is yours!? :cool:

Nice! just peeped it and read the article. I'm guessing the next preview pics will have chinooks in em ;) hah. really good work going there though arb :ok: will be following your work in progress like the rest!

A lot more work to do to get it to resemble the actual canal, also will need to re-texture the roads to make them look more like dusty sand rather than gravel.

have you looked at some more of the other roads? i know there is one more just like that muddy looking one but a little lighter, which i'm using for now.

everything looks great arb! cant wait for the both of your guys maps to be finished and released! all these areas you guys are working on(altho not exactly in tarin-kowt) they are close enough around that area to make me very happy..cause now i can still have ah-64d's flying in from camp holland lol!
