b00ce 160 Posted March 13, 2010 Does anybody know where to find a good reference for the Ud-4L Cheyenne dropship? (The one for aliens. lol) I've tried googling but it has failed me. So far I'm going off of what little there is in the movie, which isn't really much. P.s. I've started from scratch. The freeware model was too inaccurate and I felt like the original author's mommy cleaning up after him, figured it was better to scrap it. I guess the only thing good about something being free is that it's free. :P
Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted March 15, 2010 Here's a site that has a sample terrain of Manhattan & Long Island. Whether it can be used with ArmA I don't know though. They also have textures. http://www.es3dstudios.com/Library-Page_Free.html

Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted March 19, 2010 This site gives alot of information on aircraft. It appears to concentrate mainly on the transportation of ground vehicles using aircraft. Could be useful to somebody. http://www.combatreform.org/aircraftphotos.htm

chortles 263 Posted April 6, 2010 For my first thread on the boards, I did a "bit" (HA!) of a link dump in this thread for pictures of mini red dots (MRD) and short-barreled rifles (SBRs); there's also some left-side pictures of the Magpul Angled Fore Grip (AFG). Should I kill that and do the link dump here instead? Some of the links are to albums from the gallery that jhoson14 linked on the first page.
jhoson14 10 Posted April 6, 2010 http://www.pixagogo.com/DeicideNBF staus says "all image links broken. some links to photo sources OK" Here i can open any pic, its all working fine.Asked to some friends test it too, and all ok.

DaSquade 0 Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) PEOSoldier: https://peosoldier.army.mil I personally find this a very good site (one of the first places where new gear/weapons/gadgets gets revealed to the public). https://peosoldier.army.mil/newpeo/Equipment/default.asp has a good list and info. and offcourse their Flickr link for the great (high resolution) pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peosoldier/ For other 'new' stuff i suggest http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?172627-SMGLee-SHOT-Show-Tour-Viva-Las-Vegas-2010 *SMGLee is famous on milphotos.net for his great pictures, helped me a lot (one of those guys that gets his hands on new material and often shares pictures of it in many angles). FYI: right click on his pictures 'view picture' (? dutch windows here) so you have the picture viewed under the original URL, but deleting the \huge in the url you get the full resolution. example: xhttp://photos.imageevent.com/smglee/ss10/huge/P1020550.jpg -> xhttp://photos.imageevent.com/smglee/ss10/P1020550.jpg http://www.militarymorons.com/ Also a very old and good source for pictures, especially weapon attachments. EDIT: Forgot to add this wonderfull site aswell: http://www.silencertests.com/albums/ Very good resources (picture database) of some of the most common and some special silincers. You can even found some muzzleflash results (maybe not directly usefull, but allows you to understand the type of muzzle).
