[R3F] Artillery and Logistic: Manual artillery and advanced logistic (mission script)

Im getting that error as well now. I waited 2 hours to get my range table created and I put everything in where it is supose to go and none of the range tables work now. I thought I broke it but even after redownloading V1.4 test mission and trying it out it does not work. I am using Steam

I took off ace and tried the test mission again and still no rangetables found for any equipment or ammo.

The arma patch 1.54 modifies all the shell's ballistics.

The [R3F] artillery computer of the version 1.4 couldn't compute fire solution with this new patch.

I will release a new arty & log version ASAP. But I'm currently very busied by my real job.

(Maximum release date : september 5th delayed due to the BIS' #$€£# technical implementation of the new arty system)

It should already work. Only the existing tables don't work because the ballistics was modified.

But all new generated ones should work. Did you create and include the file corresponding to the table generated in the RPT ?

Such as being able to lift around stuff like flagpoles and arty with a soldiers?

It has the 109 come up in the computer but no range tables are found for it. When I get in the 109 it has the interface for arty. The round for the 109 in the arty computer say Default HE. I thought that was kindof fishy.

It should already work. Only the existing tables don't work because the ballistics was modified.

But all new generated ones should work. Did you create and include the file corresponding to the table generated in the RPT ?

I like this script, but have an idea i would like to put into my mission.

1st:

The Sat Phone that acts like a computer, is there anyway for me to have that functionality on say a specific humvee?

For example, a soldier walks up to the humvee and scroll and get the option "Artillery Computer" just like he does when he approaces the computer?

Just adding the option to enter the computer without the sat phone, camo net and everything?

2nd thing:

How do i proceed to limit who can access the arty funtction to lets say a squad leader, or a ArtyOfficer or something?

Frosties, Your second question I had just a few pages back. Your first question has been asked a million times. Its in the readme and also in this forum. You put this in the init of the vehicle:

Madbull showed me that you can make the aritllery computer at the main tent only to appear to certain players. This is the code I used in our domination map. Its found in

R3F_ARTY_AND_LOG\R3F_ARTY\poste_commandement\caluculateur_init.sqf

You will see two addactions at the bottom of the script. You modify the first one.

Delta_1,- Delta_6 is our Artillery guys. So just put the names of the units in the code above replacing my delta guys

6 more days :-). I hope. I think I check this thread about 5 times a day. The new arty system is just to arcadish for us. I cant wait to get R3F back up and running

The arma patch 1.54 modifies all the shell's ballistics.

The [R3F] artillery computer of the version 1.4 couldn't compute fire solution with this new patch.

I will release a new arty & log version ASAP. But I'm currently very busied by my real job.

(Maximum release date : september 5th delayed due to the BIS' #$€£# technical implementation of the new arty system)

I know that there are some fans who are waiting for the v1.5. So here are some news about the progress :

1) We resolved the OA patch 1.54 non-backward-compatibility issue.

2) We are now able to send orders to AI as we already could for players !

3) We made a new virtual magazines system which allows to use different charges for any type of gun without additionnal addon.

This system will also allows to create new shell effects like "smoke", "flare" and "cluster bomb" in the future.

The release should be on 19th september. We need to finalize the version and make a deep internal test.

Current (not final) changelog :

v1.5

- Added : the AI can now receive and execute a fire order

- Added : virtual magazines system wich allows to add different charges and effects without addon

- Added : the M109 gun from the vilas' project '85 is in the default configuration

- Fixed : compatibility with the OA 1.54 patch

- Fixed : UTF-8 encoding for the language files

- Improved : minor source beautification

Keep up the good work fella, very much looking forward to bringing AI gunners into the fight.

I think I will use the control interface linked to a backpack, so my forward observer can drop this if he goes down, handing control of the guns of to his assistant. Is this possible, seems the control can be linked to other items through your much repeated thread :).

For me it would be the best option, the player just taking the Observer role.
