I agree, sharon may be a good commander in the field but he isn't that good in politics. What they need is something like Rabin. He could make peace with the Palestinians.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">SADDAM'S PAGES OF HOPE

Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has apologised for his country's occupation of Kuwait in 1990-91.

He has also urged Kuwaitis to join Iraq's struggle against any occupying armies.

His appeal came after Iraq handed over its weapons dossier to the United Nations, a day before the deadline.

As expected, Saddam has denied possessing weapons of mass destruction.

The document runs to 11,087 pages and is accompanied by CD-Roms containing 529 megabites of data.

'New elements'

Iraq hopes that the evidence contained on the pages and on the discs will stave off war with the United States.

Although the document has been handed over, it could be a week before the UN Security Council is able to examine the declaration.

Iraq's UN envoy, Mohamed Aldouri, said he had been told "there are new elements in the report", but he did not know what they were.

However, the US and Britain are likely to view the document with great scepticism.

'Aggressive inspections'

The US is unlikely to push for action immediately but may step up pressure on the UN to carry out weapons inspections more aggressively.

President Bush wants the UN inspectors to visit multiple suspected weapons sites simultaneously to make it more difficult for banned weapons or materials to be moved around.

Chief weapons inspector Hans Blix said the document would be reviewed in the light of global treaties on chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.

The UN resolution required Iraq to detail its past and current weapons programmes and list civilian-produced materials that could be used in illegal weapons.<span id='postcolor'>

So I agree that we need another Rabin, but first we need another George Bush Sr, who can go eyeball to eyeball with an Israeli PM without blinking.

My prediction:  Bush Jr will get real tough with Sharon during his second term which will cost Sharon his job.  Only then, in 2007, will Amram Mitzna take over as a new Rabin.  And then, peace will finally come to Palestine, but an internal civil war will probably start in Israel. wow.gif

HAHAHAHA, that's too funny.

If you want my opinion, and I'm sure you're all dying to hear it wink.gif, I think the U.S. should provide at least SOME of the evidence that it has against Iraq. So far Saddam and the UN inspectors have done a pretty good job proving that he does not have any WMDs.

I would say now is the time to present most of the evidence Bush has to the inspection team, let's see what they can find. smile.gif Makes sense to me...

This is amazing. The link you posted  says the case was dismissed(thrown out) . And you still say Sharon is WANTED FOR CRIME. You can not decide who committed a crime , only a court can. I thought this is a common knowledge. Obviously it is not.

Obviously this is not common knowledge in Israel either where they decide nearly every day who is a criminal without any court involvement.  And the penalty is usually death by gunship rocket or JDAM to the accused and anyone within a 50 meter radius.

And by the way, are you suggesting that Osama Bin Laden is not a criminal merely because he hasn't stood trial yet?  Get real!!

As they say, where there's smoke there's fire.

Just the fact that this was alleged is enough to make you worry about the man's past. Could you imagine Bush or any Western leader getting voted in if that had been splashed on the papers, true or not.

Christ, our press is grilling our PM, for not following the proper procedure for buying a flat!

This is your personal business what you are worried about. However, CALLING someone a CRIMINAL on a public forum is not.

About the gunships. My impression is that you think every suspected terrorist is Israel gets his missile right away. If you do, you are wrong. Many of the suspected terrorists are arrested and face trials (and go to prison, where there victims' familys support them through the taxes) . Barguti is a famous example (represented by a lawyer like everyone else).

About Osama. In Israel press would bury someone for comparing the legally elected PM with a terrorist. But you know better, don't you?

I certainly wouldn't bury anyone for comparing Sharon to a terrorist.  I wouldn't even bury someone for actually calling former Prime Ministers Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir terrorists.  After all, that's exactly what they were in the mid 1940s.

Terrorism is like venereal disease.  Avoiding it is not as mysterious as you think and experiencing it is nothing to be proud of.

I want peace, but lets face it, it doesnt gonna happen for at least the next 10 years.. till Arafat will be replaced, or more likely, get killed.

I strongly disagree with the way you lump Jews and Israelis together.  The vast majority of the world's Jews live outside of Israel and have nothing to do with that nation.  Meanwhile, the hords of Christians standing behind Sharon's policies, don't necessarily give all of Christianity a bad name either.

Sharon would be very happy if the world decided to attack his religion instead of his policies.  Let's not do him any favours.

Vast majority, while the rest tries to get funds back to Israel to fund the massacre. And the rest will use their corporate and political power to benefit Israel as much as possible, like boycotting the Polish airline flights in New York for what happened in WW2. If you said Israel gets all those nice lumps of money from the US because Christians or Protestants are running the show there you would probably be wrong. wink.gif Also if you said that Palestinians are getting murdered because of the Christians or Hindus(etc) in power in Israel you would be wrong. Right?

I know it's not politcally correct to lump them like that, but I still have a right to say it, I am very frustrated with how Jews are acting in the U.S. and Israel. And the U.S. got payed on 11th of September for what?
