LeadCommando65 10 Posted October 12, 2009 First time I got injured while I playing as Russian/CDF I heard him saying "Fuck, that hurts!". I was like WTF. This is a very rough design mistake...
Kristian 47 Posted October 12, 2009 I dont care so much about those little mishaps. As RPGs are passing my head I dont care who shouts with what language :p
galzohar 31 Posted October 12, 2009 You should try walking around with a wounded woman then...
Fudgeblood 10 Posted October 12, 2009 They speak Russian for me, but occasionally they'll say "Oh fuck that hurts" (As LeadCommando said) when wounded.
WMike20052 0 Posted October 12, 2009 No fuck this, i was just in a battle by myself against a bunch of infantry and they were all speaking english. Giving orders, EVERYTHING in English. How can i fix this?
randir14 10 Posted October 12, 2009 For me it's a mix, sometimes they speak Russian and sometimes they speak english. Someone with the Russian version would probably have to make an addon with the voice files, the same thing was done for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
MadCatChiken 10 Posted October 12, 2009 Mine always speak russian.. Must be a sound bug.
Thirdup 0 Posted October 12, 2009 I guess it could be a bug. Which missions are you experiencing this in? In MP coop missions I've never heard them speak english (aside from the occasional "ouchie fuck et hertz").
WMike20052 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Its happening now when i preview my missions in editor. Dont know if it happens in campaign...i havent played it.
Thirdup 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Hmmmm. What happens when you save it as a SP or MP mission and then replay it? I'm not home or I'd have a look, but it could just be something to do with being in edit mode/preview.
WMike20052 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Im going to test it now. I could see how that could be the problem though.. ---------- Post added at 08:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 PM ---------- Nope still the same... ---------- Post added at 08:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 PM ---------- I cant be the first person with this problem/
manberries 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Check your mods. Russians talk, give orders, and groan from pain in a Russian manner in my vanilla arma 2. However, with VOP sounds added they moan from pain in English. They should be speaking Russian. If this problem persists, a reinstall may be your only hope. Just to make absolutely sure you understand, Russians speak in Russian, CDF and ChDsk speak in Czech (Chenarussian), and the USMC speak in English. All sound files exist for each, so rest assured if these groups are speaking English then a mod or bug is causing it.
WMike20052 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Did a little trial and error. Turns out CAA1 is causing the mix matching voices. But now im wondering y? Im sure the creator of it would have noticed right?
-RIP- Luhgnut 10 Posted October 12, 2009 Known bug they are working on. They speak English when hurt..... Couple times I had them speak something totally whacky.

Kalisto 10 Posted October 12, 2009 My girlfriend is russian, and she usually says "Fuck, this hurts".
Thirdup 0 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) I just tested something. I opened a CRCTI coop pbo in the editor. Previewed it playing russian and sure enough, my russian squad spoke english. Re-pbo'ed it and launched it on a self-hosted MP session. Again, they spoke english. Loaded the .pbo onto our dedicated server and launched it. They spoke russian. I've noticed certain scripts before that only work properly on dedicated hosts. It could be related. Edited October 13, 2009 by Thirdup
LJF 0 Posted October 13, 2009 Try taking off CAA if you have it as well as VOPSound. For me CAA was the cause.

jwalstab 10 Posted October 13, 2009 It is CAA1, you simply have to get the update for CAA1 and it solves the issue!!! I had the same problem and fixed it by doing this.
