Rista 0 Posted October 10, 2009 I used to use Opera for years but switched to Chrome recently. It is missing a couple of features that I would like it to have but I love the speed and minimalistic approach/appearance of Chrome.
MehMan 0 Posted October 10, 2009 I used to use Opera for years but switched to Chrome recently. It is missing a couple of features that I would like it to have but I love the speed and minimalistic approach/appearance of Chrome. x2 Opera was nice, but clunky and when it lagged down, it lagged down and it took the whole browser with it when it crashed. VERY annoying when you had a whole load of fresh porn open. Chrome is pretty awsome, but I'd like it to have the RSS ticker from Firefox and that it'd work when I try to download things from here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php
dunedain 48 Posted October 10, 2009 I used Opera the last 5 years and still do. Light, fast, polyvalent, and stable "haven't seen a crash since Opera 10.00 is out" And I really love the way you can personalize everything on it. If that ain't a "minimalistic appearance" .. GoOB 0 Posted October 10, 2009 I too have submitted to our new internet overlords henceforth only known as Google. In other words, I use Chrome - It's a slick, speedy browser with a very unobtrusive user interface that is in my mind perfect for browsing sites like flickr and Pbase. But I have to agree with MehMan, certain sites just won't load under Chrome (whilst they load flawlessly in Firefox), this is especially common with download links - But still, it doesn't happen often enough (not even one out of a hundred sites) to make me turn back to Firefox, a browser which to me now feels similar to how IE felt after a few weeks of using Firefox. Pyronick 21 Posted October 10, 2009 I use both Firefox 3.5.3 aswell as Chrome unstable. Because Firefox is the more common alternative on Internet Explorer I use it more frequent than Chrome. I'm a big fan of Google's philosophy of evolving the Web. But with Firefox 3.7 coming soon, they'll have to push it real hard.

-Snafu- 78 Posted October 10, 2009 Firefox. Far more user-friendly and nice looking than IE. Perfect. No need for me to try any other browser right now.

-Snafu- 78 Posted October 10, 2009 If Firefox screws up royally. Might give Chrome a go though, sounds like it's a solid bit of kit.
echo1 0 Posted October 10, 2009 I can vouch for the above post that claimed that going from Chrome to FFx is like going from FFx to IE... I also found that the amount of crashes I had dramatically dropped when I switched to Chrome, and that was true of both Windows and Linux... It isn't quite as feature-rich as Firefox, but that will probably be addressed in time. I remember using Firefox when it was still version 0.6 ... People forget that it didn't exactly get all it's features overnight either.
AndresCL 10 Posted October 10, 2009 Firefox here, and if it ever lets me down, i would go for Opera (still cant trust 100% on Chrome after they were gathering personal information on their first release)
LoLL 10 Posted October 10, 2009 I voted for Firefox. I am using Internet Explorer too. ;)
echo1 0 Posted October 10, 2009 (edited) Firefox here, and if it ever lets me down, i would go for Opera (still cant trust 100% on Chrome after they were gathering personal information on their first release) The irony here is that Google gathers as much information from you when you use Firefox as it does when you use Chrome... Inkompetent 0 Posted October 10, 2009 Firefox + NoScript all the way, which by the way means Google does NOT get to gather lots of info since I simply block out google-analytics.com :P
