Seal Team Six Campaign release (SP)

from SASrecon: then i had to load the last auto-save which was halfway from dock 1 to dock 2

Whoah? :butbut: How do you load the last auto-save? When I die I always have to begin from the beginning again, even if I made an auto-save (by suspending the campaign after the docks for example).

I think auto-save when suspending the game is different than one that you actually save via the menu.

Hmm, I never looked at the "save" function in the menu, I always assumed you were only able to save by suspending the game. I'll have a look, I really want to finish this first mission lol

Yeah! I finally finished mission one, now at the second mission but unfortunately the heli doesn't land. It keeps hovering +- 20 meters above the ground. Tried it a few times but it is the same every time. Maybe because just before we get to the shore the enemy pops off a few shots?

Every other mission with helo insertion(s)/extraction(s) seem to have people complaining about just that. I've seen a thread on the editing forums suggesting exactly how to make a proper working extraction, and it seemed quite full of ugly workarounds, but the post does claim it works flawlessly at the end.

I'll tell you i've heard about this alot, but I've never had the problems others are having with the helos. I've tested it over and over and never had this happen. Are you guys using SLX or any other mods? Does difficulty are you playing on. Can you tell me what missions this happens on?

P.S. I'm reworking the first campaign to be more compatible with such mods. It also will feature new stuff and new locations. I'm about 50% done, and might have it finished today. If you guys can wait tell I post it, you'll have a better game.

@galzohar: It's during insertion but I guess it doesn't really matter compared to extraction.

@sick: I'm only running the required mods, no other mods, mission 2 in my case.

Everyone has that problem, the trick is to eject just as the helo pulls back to auto hover, do it just as the nose touches the shoreline otherwise you will land in the water and lose your gear. jump too late and your parachute wont open.

Secondly has the fix for panthera 2.1 been done yet?

I'm gonna release the revised campaign 1 today or tomorrow that is compatible with v2.31.

Also the helo problem is directly related to SLX or AI mods. I suggest removing all PBos from SLX that effect AI. I don't use SLX anymore and I never have this problem. There is no real trick to scripting a helo insertion. The BIS way works well, its the mods that screw it up. You have to decide if you want the improved AI or you want proper helo insertions. I tried to make it as compatible as possible, but there is no way to make it work perfectly with SLX.

Sick1, thanks so much for the time and effort that you put into this. It is really appreciated. Well I have been working feverishly to get this working and I think I'm almost there. I am able to play the campaign but when I launch the scenario and get to the map screen I get a pop up stating "No Entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons.RH_deagle'. Again I am able to click continue and start the campaign but I'm not sure if this is something I should worry about. I'm sure this is a noob error on my part when up the mod folders. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks again!

It's not a game breaker, but it looks like your RH pistol pack is not installed or not installed properly. Check it out. Glad you enjoy it::bounce3:

I have played this with and without SLX and all infiltrations/extractions work fine. Its just mission 2 infiltration where the heli hovers ands doesnt land. that seems to cause mass problems throughout and thats with no mods activated my end

1. Fixed some helo extraction bugs.

2. Added more members to the seal team.

3. Fixed sound bugs.

4. Added FFAA and RH m4 pack which adds over 100 new rifles.

5. Now compatible with Panthera 2.13

6. You no longer need CBA or little birds addon.

This update requires the RH m4 pack. Check first post for links.

There is no longer support for a lite version.

Definitely a problem with an addon. Double check all are current and installed properly.

Is there any chance I can ask for some support on this please? The issue I have is that I can't start the campaign. I can select "Seal Team Six", then select the difficulty, but at the point it hangs.

@horrgakx: take the carrier-mod ( the pbo file) in the normal addons folder of your arma2 (example : C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\addons) . that was my problems too. the other mods in the launcher are funtion. have fun :)

Thanks for telling me (why can't there be a txt file telling the user where to put the carrier file??). I copied it into the addons dir, but still I get a hang when starting.

Any other suggestions please?

Hey Sick, I downloaded v1.3 twice and I got CRC error when extracting both times.

Anyway, great campaign!

@horrgakx: have you tried the traditional shortcut way of loading addons?

You mean putting it in the command line? No I've not. I assume you'd just string the directories together? Would it make it easy to rename the dirs 1, 2, 3, 4, etc... to make it easy to type into the command line?

@horrgakx: have you checked your mods in your launcher? . i see not. checked your mods on .

nice campaign, and the update have a crc errors for me too.
