Hi Vilas,

Just letting you know that i have not given up on p85, Just had to have a break from arma and stuff in general, had some personal issues etc.

have started back into the p85 config and have been doing some tidy up on the weapons. added 28 new inventory icons for the weapons.

IFA (IFA is in 2 skins - NVA and tan for Takistan, but can be used as Iraqi from 1990, because Saddam also had IFA 50W as army truck), Robur, T3 can already by tested as wip (work in progress) on my forum

now i work on MB NG (1017) for BW

update went on Armaholic,

changelog:

- P85 config - added classes for Mercedes Benz 1017, IFA W50, Robur, fixed reflectors bug on Man630,

- P85_V - added IFA W50 truck, added Robur truck, added Mercedes Benz 1017, fixed glass break on Man 630 (hitpoints in model), color of Unimog 1300L now darker to fit Man 630 and MB 1017,

- P85 German pack - added crewed trucks said above,

- P85 fictional countries pack - added crewed IFA W50 by Takistan, IFA W50 in sand color that can play Iraqi truck from 1990,

- P85 civilian cars - a lot of new cars, busses etc. VW T3 (civilian 2 colors, army green color as civilian side but in color for BW (just crew yourself with BW driver if necessary), ambulance, polizei), 3 prototypes including sport roadster shown before, civilian coach bus, civilian truck,

soon i will start work on Chaikas (Gaz 13 will be done first, than in next order Gaz 14) , than MB W123 and VW Beetle , than maybe another Soviet car like Moskvitch or Lada Samara

is Marsellie77 sign probably, KPFS is not my signature of class, i use VIL_ vilas_ p85_

probably Marseillie soon will do update but with Mercedes and VW T3, but this is not question to me,

oh ok, i must of put a marsell file n your p85 folder, then six updater deleted it?

yeah it was marseilles retextured files...

Vilas, i wanna use p'85 with a sound mod, is that possible to use it or it would need a new config ?

Other engine, gun, weapon sounds and stuff...

honestly i do not know which soundsmods work with P85 and which not, for sure i made separate config files so anyone can edit them the way he need and apply new sounds for example, i do not know if there are sound mods dedicated to P85 or not (cause i have no time to play and test all), so in short words - i do not know, but config is open and separate file and anyone can rework configs and add sounds,

Hi Vilas

you seem like the person who can help me...

i am running a newly made server for Altis Life. no mods as of yet as im struggling find and implement them.

i want to replace all the police vehicles and cops with better ones with more detailed graphics, ideally british police vehicles.

do you have these and could you help or explain where and how to add them. any help would be massively appreciated!!

i still use Arma2 because yet not all vehicles that i planned to do before were made so i cannot help with Arma3 and my vehicles yet were not imported to Arma3 due to lack of time /manpower, so i cannot help with A3 issues so far, till i will not finish more vehicles and till i will not fix all bugs in P85 i do not think about leaving A2 community, so i cannot help you, now adding more Cold War era civilian cars is my goal

Hi!

First off, Vilas, thank you for your work!

My question is for anyone who can help me on this, either Vilas or other posters: I've dl-ed the East Weapons pack, which answered my long wishes for the newer Russian weapons, and since I play on a server where they don't allow mods (ban) I would like to use the AK-12 and other guns as a "replacement pack". I find yours light-years better than vanilla or ace weapons. But I have no clue how to write a replacement config.

For example, I would like to use the Abakan, the AK-12, various sniper rifles and so on, but for other players to look like stock weapons. On another site it said that all is needed is to make a config that looks like this.

But when I do it doesn't work for me, even though I add a PboPrefix.txt and wrap it up in pbo and then run in together with that mod.

Also, does anybody know if the weapon I do get when successfully replaced retains the characteristics of the replaced weapon (thus it's only a graphic replacement) or if I am actually playing with the weapon I want (ballistics, sound, firing modes, etc.)?

I have never had much luck with replacement packs. Find one and d/l it and have a look at how others have done it successfully.

To answer your other question. You will just get the model, all the characteristics will be the same as the vanilla one, if all you change is the model.

I want to replace the AEK 1p78 and p63 with 1p29 Abakan and AK12 Aimpoint. From what I understand I should have either of those in my hands when I take one of those two AEKs out of the server ammobox. Doesn't work though. :(

Maybe the "Class: Rifle" should be different or I'm making some other mistake, I can't figure it out as I've never done this before and there is no real tutorial nor instructions anywhere on the net for just weapon model replacement. Or maybe I should binarize the bin before wrapping it in pbo?

EDIT: the error when trying to convert config.cpp to config.bin is

If I delete the ak12 entry it throws the same error for the Abakan.

No dont need to binarize the config mate.

You have not defined the base class for the rifles correctly mate, try this,

Why not just edit the unit to have the ak12?
