jeremy10tie 10 Posted August 14, 2009 hello it would be good that there is support directx
TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted August 14, 2009 ....ummm yes. It would be good for me to have several million pounds but that's not going to happen either!
Tankbuster 1747 Posted August 14, 2009 This game really isn't graphics intensive, despite what you might think. You aren't going to notice much difference between any of the current iterations of directx. It's not about the pretties, it's about immersion and tactics. jeremy10tie 10 Posted August 14, 2009 I know but it may well be directx 11 and in addition provides a wide choice for more people
Placebo 29 Posted August 14, 2009 hello it would be good that there is support directx 11 It would be good why?
Steakslim 1 Posted August 14, 2009 Wouldn't the game have to be completely rewritten at this point to even do that?
Jimmy the Saint 10 Posted August 14, 2009 I want directX 12 NOW! - Oh and a padlock please. :padlock:
Tankbuster 1747 Posted August 14, 2009 Damn directx12. I want directx 69. It's my favourite.
dunedain 48 Posted August 14, 2009 (edited) I don't think that's a priority right now but .. It would be good why? o New compute shader technology that lays the groundwork for the GPU to be used for more than just 3D graphics, so that developers can take advantage of the graphics card as a parallel processor o Multi-threaded resource handling that will allow games to better take advantage of multi-core machines o Support for tessellation, which blurs the line between super high quality pre-rendered scenes and scenes rendered in real-time, allowing game developers to refine models to be smoother and more attractive when seen up close It's not about the pretties, it's about immersion and tactics. .. Directx 10 and 11 aren't only about shiny effects but also optimization, performances and full use of compatible hardware. TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted August 14, 2009 directx429 is clearly the best We can now see above why directx11 would be good... Spending time on getting it working properly with directx9 first would be better :)
Xindar 10 Posted August 14, 2009 directx429 is clearly the best *JOKE ALERT* yes, but it has some serious bugs. NeMeSiS 11 Posted August 15, 2009 it seems many team end up reducing developing timeline, and avoid some dirty DX9 hack in order to get full featured project... But they already have a DX9 engine, there is nothing to reduce anymore since no work is always less then reduced work. :p
