I wonder how well this new vegetation penetration system works. One of the anti-air tactics I used was to hide in the woods so enemy missiles would have a chance of hitting a tree.

Question: I downloaded my version from Gamersgate, which I *think* was the same version as the Steam version. So, should I download or not?

Thanks!

Did you not read the first post? The only version compatable with Steam is the one that is automatically applied through Steam...

* New: Functions getPosATL and setPosATL to allow controlling position relative to terrain.

Does that mean setPos/getPos are deprecated?

* New: command line option -showScriptErrors introduced to show errors in scripts on-screen

* New: Mission name (with * indicated unsaved work) displayed in the mission editor

* New: Keyboard shortcuts in the mission editor

Very nice, much appreciated. Thanks.

* Improved: First-Aid modules more robust and faster

We shall see... ;) Does this mean it's easier for mission makers to use?

Friend, :) did you not read my post? I did not get me game from Steam, but from Gamersgate, which is different from Steam. I have searched, but found no official indication as to whether my version should follow the Steam-rules or the non-Steam-rules.

Ideally, Placebo or some BIS-type person can provide an official (or at least knowledgeable) answer.

:)

Sometimes it takes a few days or more for steam to get updates up for external games. As its up to the company who made the game to get the patch to STEAM and then steam has to check it quickly to see if its ok.

Im hoping all your steam owners get the update asap (;

I remember Call of Duty took about a week to get the first few patches, and now they are released on teh same day and same time as teh retail patches which is nice. But then other times when games like CRYSIS got the updates on the same day aswell. So only time will tell.
