  1. everytime i meet the red carrier, i die.seems i am about four time as squishy as he is. the forces on the defensive island at my back dont do jack shit. at the moment of death the game crashes. its a beta allright. Mighty promising game though. looks nice and crisp and things move with a proper feel of weight. some might feel they're underpowered. to me they feel realistic. I really like what they did with the UI. I will be buying the xbox port of it, as well as this PC pre-order. Some things i havent managed to figure out: i built a new manta, because i ran one out of fuel. how do i move it into the deceased ones' slot? If a unit runs out of fuel, is it possible to rescue it with another unit? perhaps a manta with a sling? how does that sling work anyway?

    Hi all, I have some very good memories and am looking forward to revisiting the old OFP stomping grounds in the spiffy arma2 engine. I am a little confused if the re-release thinger is already released, or if the release thing i found is for arma1. Can anybody clear this up for me and other clueless noobs like me?     PMC05 - Elimination

    Is it just me or does the thermal sight bug out at times? I had a perfect thermal of the first vehicle, a BRDM iirc. But on the M113 it was just a white shape, no engine glow or nothing. Should i be fiddling with the thermal sight :cool: or is it bugged on me? :mad:

    I think BiS could make a nice buck selling SP content as DLC. Heck they might even "sponsor" community made content in some way.

    Arma 2 OA 1.53 Suggestions

    I would like some more quality SP content such as missions and campaigns. Maybe combine this with the fleshing out of certain factions such as the English and/or the ISAF analogue for Takistan. I'd pay for a 15 mission campaign that comes bundled with some nice new toys to play with and some minor fixes. 10 to 15 bucks no problemo.
  8. being able to dig in would be great. One should be extra vulnerable while digging, and the AI's visual awareness should be down a bunch while its digging. We should have both a heads up (ready to fire) and heads down stance while manning a foxhole. Should make for fun defence missions.

    what's 24 pounds? just two rounds in the pub with the mates. OA is quite a few more rounds and won't damage your liver and brain as much.

    New beta 71900 is up!(OA)

    I get more lod popping and jerky vehicle movement with this beta than with vanilla OA.
  12. I dicked around some more and yes it works, thanks very much for this little mod. IMO this should not be neccesary as a mod but a game menu option.
  13. This mod does not work on my box. It throws an error on startup: "access/'is not a class ('requiredVersion' accessed)" radial blur is still present. meh.

    New to this game, some questions?

    1. try aiming lower when tossing 'nades. you will make a more flat throw and therefore not throw it into the neighbouring country causing all sorts of international diplomatic incidents. 2. for the campaign? yes. there's more to the game, even offline singleplayer than the campaign. try for example the sec-ops thing hidden in "my scenarios" 3. ooh.. that takes a little more doing. try a google video search. 4. no you dont. 5. im not the majority, but i'd say yes. grass mod is a good one too.
