Deadfast's FPS Counter

Deadfast's FPS Counter

Don't like Fraps?

No problem!

MP Compatible: Yes, client side

Signed: Yes, server key included or for download here

Ever wanted to see what your FPS is in the game without using Fraps?

Now you have the option to! :)

This little addon displays (well, after you turn it on using a button in the ESC pause menu ;) ) your FPS using the integrated game's FPS function (diag_fps).

On top of that you have the option to change some of its settings in an external config file (read the readme!).

Will try this evening ...... good job mate !

Of course, there will be whining 'why am I only getting 15fps out of your map' 'why am I stuck at 24fps' etc .... but so what :)

Many little interesting Addons popping up here and there and that's just great for ArmA II and for the community.

Cheers for the efforts.

Well, just as the error says - the external config is missing.

You didn't unpack it from the RAR.

Go to your ARMA 2 directory, there should be a folder called userconfig, in this one should be a folder called DFS_fpscounter and finally in here a file defaultSettings.hpp

If either is missing then there has to be a problem with the way you installed it.

You have to simply unpack everything from the RAR into your ARMA 2 root directory (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\).

Still not working...

Could give a quick step by step guide please matey? :)

Put both folders (@DFS_fpscounter and userconfig) into your ARMA 2 root directory (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\) and only use the mod folder shortcut for the @DFS_fpscounter not the userconfig.

This is how I finally got it to work.

Nice addon

BIS should add such options in the default game along with using Print Screen button to auto save a JPEG or BMP to your ArmA2 user folder

Please don't (at least not at the moment) as if running with AAS it causes problems. Better IMHO to leave as optional.

Well, if I find a way to launch a script on the game startup it will be optional whether you want to start the game with the counter on on or off by default ;)
