Deadfast 43 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) Deadfast's FPS Counter Don't like Fraps? No problem! MP Compatible: Yes, client side Signed: Yes, server key included or for download here Ever wanted to see what your FPS is in the game without using Fraps? Now you have the option to! :) This little addon displays (well, after you turn it on using a button in the ESC pause menu ;) ) your FPS using the integrated game's FPS function (diag_fps). On top of that you have the option to change some of its settings in an external config file (read the readme!). Flarmapoint 2 10 Posted July 3, 2009 Wont work for me i get an error and a crash to desktop :( When i click on it in-game, it does crashes to desktop.... ---------- Post added at 09:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:30 PM ---------- This is the error message I get:
Deadfast 43 Posted July 3, 2009 Well, just as the error says - the external config is missing. You didn't unpack it from the RAR.
Flarmapoint 2 10 Posted July 3, 2009 Still not working... Could give a quick step by step guide please matey? :)
Deadfast 43 Posted July 3, 2009 Go to your ARMA 2 directory, there should be a folder called userconfig, in this one should be a folder called DFS_fpscounter and finally in here a file defaultSettings.hpp If either is missing then there has to be a problem with the way you installed it. You have to simply unpack everything from the RAR into your ARMA 2 root directory (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\).
rowdied 44 Posted July 4, 2009 Still not working...Could give a quick step by step guide please matey? :) Put both folders (@DFS_fpscounter and userconfig) into your ARMA 2 root directory (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\) and only use the mod folder shortcut for the @DFS_fpscounter not the userconfig. This is how I finally got it to work.
aus_twisted 0 Posted July 4, 2009 Nice addon BIS should add such options in the default game along with using Print Screen button to auto save a JPEG or BMP to your ArmA2 user folder
kremator 1065 Posted July 4, 2009 deadfast ... is there a way to have it default ON instead of having to click it ?

Deadfast 43 Posted July 4, 2009 deadfast ... is there a way to have it default ON instead of having to click it ? Probably, but I don't know about it :(
bearbison 10 Posted July 5, 2009 deadfast ... is there a way to have it default ON instead of having to click it ? Please don't (at least not at the moment) as if running with AAS it causes problems. Better IMHO to leave as optional.
Deadfast 43 Posted July 5, 2009 Please don't (at least not at the moment) as if running with AAS it causes problems. Better IMHO to leave as optional. Well, if I find a way to launch a script on the game startup it will be optional whether you want to start the game with the counter on on or off by default ;)
