I really didn´t see him, he was covered by the dust of the tank. When I finally spotted him i tried to pull up (you can even see that) but it didn´t really work. Maybe pulling down would have been a better idea....

EDIT: No, there wasn´t enough space

Ok im very crappy with the editor, so this is just an example of how you could make a cool mission with MGB + Undead mod.

Think - 'earn dollars from killing zombies, build your base with defence, try to save up for the antenna parts and call the rescue helicopter' etc etc

I give this idea for free to any mission maker! Warning, this can turn your life into fame and fortune :sol:

Hey guys! Thanks for your warm replies! I'm really happy to see many have enjoyed it. :) I am sorry for my late reply but I have been very busy! So here it is.

@[Topgun]: Thank you very much for your kind words! My spec are a Intel i7 930 2.8 GHz CPU, 1 GB ATI HD Radeon 5850 OC'ed (bottleneck), GIGABYTE P55 mobo, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and finally a 1TB SATA-600 independent HD (somewhat-bottleneck - another 1 TB HDD for the game).

I'm considering a SSD to minimize stutters which I get with high intensity of AI and so on.

@Litos: Hey man, thanks! Well - the truth is that I probably struggle just as much as you do; the AI drivers are HORRIBLE! I experimented with placement on a straight for 30 mins and found out that if you put the trucks on the LEFT side (wrong side of driveway), they will automatically align and go MOST OF THE TIMES straight ahead. If you put them sensibly to the right and on correct path, they will swirl around for 30 secs before getting a grip of reality lol. So basically I have no secrets but the fact they like to start on the wrong side of road. Else I did 10 re-tries to get them close enough, else they tended to have their own damn idea of life :D.

Thanks a lot for all your replies gentlemen! More will come soon, and one tribute for at least Rolling Thunder!

This is some footage from a ShackTac mainstay, a mission named "Dark Business." Players are divided between four factions, most going to OpFor and Independent, but a few go BluFor and two players go Civilian to play as hostages.

The scenario is that Independent has taken the two Civilians hostage and are meeting up with OpFor to exchange them for a truck full of weapons and ammo. BluFor, having been tipped off about the exchange, is out to rescue the Civilian hostages and keep the exchange from happening.

J-zH3a07XVw

As not to fill this thread with text, the rest of my AAR can be found in the spoiler below.

My role in this particular playthrough of the mission was that of BluFor's leader, and having scoped out a possible point of exchange by utilizing a UAV that updates every minute or so and our MH-6 acting as an eye in the sky, we were inserting ourselves between OpFor and Independent, so that they would have to eliminate us or go around the city (giving us enough time to board our MH-6 and reinsert if needed).

As we came onto the scene, Independent had just blown up an OpFor truck. After the mission I found out the truck was a diversion, but I didn't know this at the time, and thought that we got there too late and the exchange had already gone sour. We continued into town but were spotted almost immediately by an Independent lookout who promptly reported our location. After taking him out, I set up in his building and we secured the bridge leading towards OpFor so that Independent couldn't make a hasty exit, allowing the second half of BluFor to get into town.

With our MH-6 circling above Independent's position and giving constant updates on their movements and where the Civilian hostages were, members of BluFor started sweeping through town and eliminating as many of Independent as possible. Unfortunately we ended up finding the two Civilian hostages dead in one of the alleys when we were sweeping through town, along with three fellow BluFor members.

Seeing the dead Civilian hostages, we could have extracted as OpFor most definitely wouldn't give up the ammo truck without getting anything in return, and most if not all of Independent was dead, but this isn't real life, nor would that be fun. We also didn't truly know the extent of our damage to Independent at the time.

Including the MH-6 pilot, there were four members of BluFor alive out of the seven we started with. I asked for a volunteer to board a nearby abandoned Independent truck with a suicide mission to run as many OpFor over as possible. Both Maverick and Comrade Merf were willing to do it, but Maverick was more enthusiastic about it so he got the job. Comrade Merf and myself then began to move to the other side of Dolores where our MH-6 pilot, Doubleumc, spotted a congregation of OpFor.

When we got there, I heard voices, and knowing that I was the eastward-most friendly and that the two Civilian hostages were already dead, I threw two frags over the wall without qualms. Because I was so close to OpFor, close enough to hear their voices, I unfortunately couldn't tell Maverick to start driving without giving away my position. In retrospect I should have expected this to happen and established a mic-click signal, such as three clicks means go, because Maverick ended up sitting there until his truck was RPGed and he was shot.

I started popping up on both sides of the building I was behind trying to cheapshot OpFor and sow confusion with my whisper quiet MP5SD, but I began to run low on ammo and needed to switch out my weapon. I heard that OpFor was going to go to the construction site just west of the building I was using as cover, so I was going to try and get there first, kill the OpFor keeping watch up there, switch out my weapon for his and gun down as many OpFor as possible, but I ended up being shot and falling unconscious before I even made it more than a few steps.

When I came to, I was being dragged away by an OpFor, but I presume either friendly fire or Comrade Merf's last action alive was to kill my captor, allowing me to escape when I once again regained consciousness a minute later.

When I regained consciousness, I radioed for Doubleumc, and he came in to pick me up. I needed epinephrine and right as he was landing, I fell unconscious again. Seeing me unconscious, Doubleumc jumped out of his chopper a loaded me in himself, which gave OpFor enough time to pull a Strela out of their ammo truck.

We then lifted off but were promptly hit by OpFor's Strela. The MH-6's tailrotor was destroyed forcing Doubleumc to land, and when he did, he noticed that I was missing. The explosion had dislodged my body from the MH-6 and sent it flying across Dolores.

Dark Business isn't about who wins, it's about who loses the least.

If you're interested in reading another Dark Business AAR, one that has a different outcome and is arguably better written, here is a link to Dslyecxi's from back in 2006.

edit: oh, I almost forgot, the addons used in this video were ACE, ACRE, STHUD and STMovement.
