Xfire: Now includes fix for ArmA2 compatibility

I have a problem with Kremator's Code :(

I can make videos and screenshots. But I can't open the Xfire Ingame Menu :/

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and ArmA 2 Version is 1.04.59928.

so now, with patch 1.05, is there a way to enable xfire ingame chat? os=w7 64bit, or is it still messed up because arma2 is so "special" ?! i don't need broadcast, i don' need screenshots,only chat, because i don't wanna alt+tab all the time when somebody's messaging me..really annoying,,not so annyoing like the "not-working-ai-in-a-military-sim-game-i-got-u-covered-i-got-u-covered-move-i-go-you-covered-which-makes-playing-with-inf-impossible-so-it'S=normal ego shooter", but annoying...

I've given up with it. I only used it for video recording and now FRAPS does pretty much all I need, so xfire is gone from my system.

I've broadcasted Arma2 to a small group, but it was a few months ago. I dont know if Arma or Xfire patches have changed something that screws it up.

it must be the operator ! ;)

I will get off my lazy butt and check my settings, look for me online, drater, maybe we can test it.

Xfire ingame doesn't work in this for me nor has it worked in any other game I have. What a fail!

I prefer Steam anyways.

You can get it to work but there are problems with mouse and keyboard control after that .... so it needs MUCH more work on BIS and Xfire's behalf.

Yes, it's not critical but if have a look at the number of people that connect to other games that I play then it would be GREAT PR !

I add this to xfire_games.ini/[5856_3], before to launch xfire, at it works. Also for betas.

Don't know "full XIG" meaning. I can ScrollLock+X and have the menu, chat, fps. Then can save videos and screenshots, and probably broadcast. I hope this answers the question.

It doesn't work. Only your friends can see that you are playing.

But you can't use the Xfire Ingamemenu.

If you add one of the above solutions to the INI then it will be erased next time an XFIRE update is released.

Since XFIRE updates include games I don't play 99% of the time (after all - is there any game other than A2 worth playing) can I copy protect or set the ini to read only or use some other windows or xfire setting to prevent the update?

I like ingame xfire msgs so I can join my mates!

ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead (both Steam and non steam) are supported by Xfire.

However only the One-Click Join feature works (not all the time) and both games are shown in Xfire when you play them and hours are counted.

It is not full XIG support: videos, screenshots, web browser and lobby.

We've been begging for ArmA 2 XIG support for more than a year now so it is very likely that full support will never be added for ArmA 2 OA but you can still ask for it in the Xfire forums:

This is a powerful tool to spread the word of how great OA (and Arma2) is.

I don't know if there is work that needs to be done on the BIS side or mostly on the Xfire side to make it possible.

Some games are just not fully compatible with Xfire, that's it.

The code exists but it doesn't work 100% and you need to do it all over again at every update.
