law-giver 190 Posted February 25, 2009 I'm running XP SP3 nVidia 182.06 driver, 8800GTX not overclocked. Asus P5K3, XFI gamer and lots of ram etc etc. Like i stated earlier when the ai are driving around etc it doesnt crash but when i create an empty one and climb on in make a sandwich open a beer it crashes, & locks my game. I can sometimes ALT/TAB and shut down the game. Or its a forced reboot. It's not ArmA as i played for over an hour with over 8 mod folders loaded without a problem. Gedis 0 Posted February 25, 2009 hm, now i have problems... i want to create a bmd with custom crew and troops in it. I added an empty bmd-1p, 2 opfor tank crew soldiers, made gunner to be a group leader. then i wrote command into gunner: this moveingunner bmd1 and for driver: this moveindriver bmd1. they are inside. 1) when i try to order my 5 men squad to get in BMD in-game, they just stand and do nothing. then i tryed to make a waypoint to get in in editor, still nothing. 2) then i wrote command in each of those 5 men: this moveinturret [bmd1[1,2,3,4,5]]... they are inside. in editor I order bmd driver to move to possition, nothin happens. then I connect bmd crew with my 5 troops leader(form a group). Now i place waypoint for leader of whole bmd troops and crew, to move to possition, still nothing. any ideas? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
GodHammer 0 Posted February 25, 2009 Did not try anything related to troops and waypoints yet, but I had no crash untill now. I put 2 BMD into a simple mission, just to take a look around, jumped in and out, switched position, activated all the animations, ran it across sand and water. It goes perfectly I also fired all the weapons and everything is ok. And let me say I have a crap PC and because I love Chaos I just stuff every new addon into my Addon folder, as a Thanksgiving Turkey, and everything always works, lol I'll try some basic editing this evening an I'll report. soul_assassin 1750 Posted February 25, 2009 First of all thanks to all for the kind word and Im glad that at least for some ppl its works For those that it doesnt I'm very sorry and that we're looking into it but so far we ahve not been able to reproduce this crash. That is a big problem as we cant fix something we cant test. We are however 99% sure that its video framebuffer overload. There is a problem somewhere in the model that likely got overlooked because some systems do not exhibit this ctd. However we are trying hard but its just the 2 of us. Only problem was when i quit the mission the game crashed... if it happens again I'll post the error message. Very nice so far.. all we need is a paradrop script and then its finished! bospor 0 Posted February 25, 2009 Game freezes when I go into 3rd person to take a look from the front side of BMD-1P. Doesn't happen to BMD-1. I think there is something about that BMD-1P. Â Your missile system would be a great addition to east troops if it were added. Â This would give a much needed AT system for the east. manzilla 1 Posted February 26, 2009 I believe the 9P135M-1 ATGM on the BMD-1P's can fire Spigot's and Spandrel's. I can't remember exactly though and I'm too lazy to check at the moment. That's probably because he isn't using XEH. there's a few eventhandlers in the config that are probably conflicting. It would be a 2 minute fix to make it compatible. EDIT: Hmmm.... I just made it XEH compatible and I'm not seeing it actually burn still. There is an explosion when I destroy it and it definitely smokes after to but no flames. DiFool 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Great addon and nice features! (And no crashes by now.) But: I have big problems placing an BMD in the editor with custom crew inside. For example: I want two crew soldiers as driver and gunner. The rest of the group should contain a medic, a mgunner, etc. How can I manage that? I made a sqs with exactly your text, but it didn't work. But I have to admit that I've never been a friend to scripts. I just copy.
