zulu1 145 Posted May 26, 2010 Pulverizer, if you can setup other animations like this, i could edit the config to allow user choice without having them to replace a PBO anywhere. Pulverizer, did you ever get your enhanced binocular animation worked out? That would be nice also.
Pulverizer 1 Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) @Zulu1. No I didn't get the movement with binocs working. It's seemed to be hardcoded so that animations don't get executed for movement keys when you are in a state that has binoculars enabled. @Sanc. The two-stage leaning animations require new classes so they wouldn't be MP compatible. I set it so that FastR is lean like default and FastRB is to lean further, so you could just add the same lean for FastRB as FastR but with a new name to make them MP compatible (this wouldn't be fair for PvP of course). btw, could you upload the LinkData file you use for OFPAnim with ww4 troops? Here's a video with some new testing: http://pulverizer.pp.fi/temp/lean_blind_fire.avi (xvid/mp3, 39MB) Edited May 27, 2010 by Pulverizer

mjolnir66 48 Posted May 27, 2010 Ha! Recoil would broke your arm propably ;) No, recoil would have sent the shots skywards for most of the burst, but it'll take a lot more than that to break you arm.
Addonis 10 Posted May 27, 2010 Maybe. But guy on the film is standing in different stance than soldier in video from Pulverizer animation.
stgn 39 Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) Shooting blindly around the corner is a waste of animation in my opinion. Instead both leaning animations should be included, the rotate to side first for fast CQB and the straight gun second for accuracy. anguis 4 Posted May 28, 2010 Shooting blindly around the corner is a waste of animation in my opinion. STGN I don't know - I think it's nice to have a safe 'desperation' move, possibly get some heads down and then work from there (it'd be interesting to see this above one's head, behind, say, a traffic barrier or low wall). Pulverizer 1 Posted May 28, 2010 It's not replacing any existing animation (it uses "sprint back right" which isn't used in default). But I agree that maybe something more useful could be used there. I thought about blindfiring above head but animating the shoulders/arms that way is quite difficult. Did you have a specific obstacle in mind, Anguis? No, Pulverizer, nothing really beyond what I mentioned; I figured it'd be too difficult to work up in the same way you'd done the others - it's pretty cool, what you've done, nonetheless (you, too, STGN). Pulverizer 1 Posted May 29, 2010 http://pulverizer.pp.fi/temp/lean_overhead_mp5_spraying.avi (xvid/mp3, 30MB) It doesn't look very natural and there's some weird model warping going on, but it's a funny Hollywood-move to do :)
mjolnir66 48 Posted May 29, 2010 Loving the new animations, Pulverizer, especially the "Libyan Handshake" one. :p

Pulverizer 1 Posted May 30, 2010 http://pulverizer.pp.fi/temp/blindfire_standing.avi (14M) This would probably be the most useful way of blindfiring but I can't pose the arms without the shoulders collapsing in a very ugly manner :(

Pulverizer 1 Posted May 31, 2010 Yeah, I suppose blindfiring isn't anything new... but I'm wondering if any other 1st or 3rd person shooter has ever featured this extremely powerful move.

Addonis 10 Posted May 31, 2010 @Pulverizer: You're making many new animations. They are very interesting and impressive. But how about "lean left" anim? I can't wait for it. :)
Pulverizer 1 Posted June 2, 2010 I get the same shoulder problem than the standing blindfire when trying to make different left leans and I have no idea how to prevent that or if it's even possible.
Macser_old 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm afraid that's an age old problem with models and animating in general.Unfortunately, fixing something like that, would take quite a while. Not to mention lots of patience. As O2's skin weighting is a bit clunky to use.Lots of going to and from Flashpoint,to O2,and back again.Just to see if it's working. It would quickly get frustrating. :)
hector748 10 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) hey sanc, u managed to place the flashlight to the soldiers ? ive been trying to place them in their weapons.... no results :S, this is just a reminder xD good luck with the mod Edited June 5, 2010 by hector748
BronzeEagle 2 Posted June 15, 2010 sanc i would love to see your 80s troops modeled after the everon spec op except maybe not all of them have bandannas but, oh wait did i say 80s troops, cuz thats what im planning, ww4 addon will be required to run it. sound nice? whats your input? sanctuary 19 Posted June 15, 2010 hey sanc, u managed to place the flashlight to the soldiers ? ive been trying to place them in their weapons.... no results :S, this is just a reminder xD good luck with the mod I have not tried yet, had other things to do. Will do soon. sanc i would love to see your 80s troops modeled after the everon spec op except maybe not all of them have bandannas but, oh wait did i say 80s troops, cuz thats what im planning, ww4 addon will be required to run it. sound nice? whats your input? I doubt every eighties soldiers were wearing a bandana, but if you need such soldier, here is in one of the 85' west soldier model but with bandana like the everon specops. http://www.mediafire.com/?2wiwlrmw2dd Rename the P3D into one of those names : weblackop.p3d weblackopday.p3d wecrew.p3d weofficer.p3d wepilot.p3d wesniper.p3d wesoldier.p3d depending on what kind of soldier you want the bandana version to replace. Then put that renamed p3d into ww4_rpl.pbo. It's in MLOD format so far (so can be edited without a problem in O2), if you have no problem to report with the model, i'll binarize it if you need.
