I worked on textures for Africa Korps. (dont know why but i like them more than gray versions) Here are pics:

Aye, but I'm a bit disilusioned atm. I have done the afrika korps soldiers to the end, LODs and all are done, what is not done is the wound textures and some work in the config, plus the weapons.

That's true, though these appear to be of the F-series (F2 more specifically) I wanted to know whether or not we could expect to see a reconnaissance version with fuel-tank.

Sounds good, but I hope you would consider making a pure figter setup too. If you plan to do some figter missions, it is bit unrealistic to dogfight with a bomb hanging underneath...or drop it once getting airborne.

I don't think extra fuel tanks are needed so much in maps of these sizes. I skipped them too in P-38.

That's fair enough, the islands aren't large enough to need that sort of addition to the plane, though I am glad you will stick to those to versions.
