Archer 0 Posted March 20, 2008 The best thing to do when you have a problem is to check the readme file, our website ECS Team or post there if you don't find the answer you're looking. Posting in the Troubleshooting thread of ECS you are likely going to get a faster responce. I am planning to start a new thread on the BIS forum to address more general questions about ECS and give people a general sense of what the mod is capable of so people can get a better handle on it. twisted 128 Posted March 21, 2008 ECS really is a good addition to ArmA. nice surprise! but i am finding that i cnanot save missions because i get a error message about missing content - even though i played and saved the mission 1 minutes ago. the missing content is ecs_civ - which i deleted to try and improve frames. will undelete it - but it's a problem to recommend removing something if that cause save game issues. BUT the thing is, as soon as i try to preview a mission the game freezes, and in fact, the entire comp freezes so i have to do a reset. could you explain how to overcome this? 4 IN 1 0 Posted March 22, 2008 ok, lets say right now i want to remove some of the features of the mod itself, but b4 doing that i have no idea what pbo is for which features i only know that: core, misc and sound is untouchable Quite is to remove normal arma chatter and CIV for civilian speech but i have no idea what the rest of them is for can someone give me a list for what is for what? the.d 0 Posted March 22, 2008 Yesh, I am sorry if there was any confusion about the obsolete "instructions". I've been quite tied up with some matters recently. Of course, the new ECS_Core.pbo works like a charm, thanks a lot for that! I reworked the guide and included ECS 10151. As for the usage of individual .pbo files: Armory, Quiet and Tracers can be removed (see link above, section 3.1 & 3.2) and the rest is pretty much sound immersion (RC presumably stands for "radio chatter, you get the gist) and ai enhancements (somwhere). Karaya1 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Just installed the new patch plus the compatibility module and all of a sudden 6th sense tracers are working on the AH1Z, Ka50, UH60, AH6,... which is funny because it has refused to work on these vehicles since the day I've installed the 6th Sense Pack1 (which itself was months before ECS came into town), and another pleasant surprise is that SDPs vehicle gun fix is suddenly also working on the AH6 where it wasnt before... the.d 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Haha, well, ECS removes those and uses its own bullet "whizz" sounds. Although I very much prefer AACS's supersonic cracks the ECS ones are quite good. Read the readme that comes with the download, and the ECS website and the first post of this thread and Mr D's thread (first post of this thread links to it), all this is explained. You have a setting file that can turn off bullet crack, you can switch off dynamic view distance, and even set your minimum & maximum view distance for the mod also in the settings. Its very flexible, again read through threads, its all explained. PS - The update core etc is great, this is now fixed in my mod folder Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
