TWCRASH 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Due to lack of support and no MP usage TechWarriorZ will be removing this mod until further notice
Kalimar 0 Posted June 23, 2008 Can anyone locate the script that places both the beret and the helmet on the officer and just leave him with a beret? I'm sure you can do this with a simple .pbo editor and I'm sure the mod's creators won't mind.
echo1 0 Posted June 27, 2008 You could open the model file in O2 and delete the beret and extra helmet. Or study the "hidden selections" section in the RHS config file and edit, although that would probably require more effort.
Thunderbird 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Hi, My sincer apologies for the long delay, I have been working hard on the Project'85 MOD for ArmA, therefore, not having time to further focus on FFUR. But the patch is started and should hopefully be accomplished within 1 - 2 weeks. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Best Regards, TB

otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted June 28, 2008 Wow! Can't wait!!! I've some suggestions: maybe you must give to the AK47 a bigger recoil and the hits must be more deadly Thank you!

Supernova 0 Posted June 29, 2008 Thunderbird the Red Hammer mission where you have to capture a fuel truck after refueling and taking off and then when attacking convoy crashes. This is without mods etc....
echo1 0 Posted June 29, 2008 This is without mods etc.... Then what has it got to do with FFUR?

Supernova 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Because I was running FFUR'85 1.05 only.
echo1 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Then try playting that mission without FFUR
Supernova 0 Posted July 2, 2008 That comment/response was not helpful in no way. I have played all the campaigns without mods but i also want a different experience with mods.
echo1 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I think my point still stands. Any mod that changes the gameplay experience is going to have problems with missions designed for the old gameplay experience. That is a fact that you can't really escape. Im sure Thunderbird can try and optimize the mod as much as is possible, but there are always going to be some problems here and there. With Thunderbird busy with the P85 ArmA mod, patches are probably going to be few and far between. It's only one mission, it isnt going to kill you if you have to play it without mods. P.I.T.A 0 Posted July 18, 2008 hi, im new to FFUR and i just love it, but im in a tiny problem... before i installed the 1.05 patch tanks went up in flames and ppl burned and stuff, but in SP i couldnt get past the alert mission (a russian always RPGs the M113 before we can get out so we either all die or all fall out rly wounded and just get slaughterd by the commies, now in the 1.05 patch the SP works ok (its hard, but i guess its more realistic then) but nothing burns anymore! I WANT BURNING RUSSIANS!!! =( otherwise awsome mod! i love the new explosion graphics and the tank gun firing animation is AWSOME! also the AI is rly cool, but sometimes its annoying when it drags dead ppl around in the middle of combat then just drops them somewhere also, i couldnt get any plane to attack any ground targets (just flys over then you can hear it in the distance)

GIJOE94 0 Posted July 19, 2008 I reacently installed FFUR '85 and tried to play it. After the loading screen the game crashes and a message comes up saying: "Operation Flashpoint Operation Flashpoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." And some other junk each time I play it. Can anyone help me please.
P.I.T.A 0 Posted July 19, 2008 is there a MP server for FFUR?
combat-agent 0 Posted July 30, 2008 This mod is awesome. But with the new patch, what happened to pistols? Their pretty much non-existant throughout the majority of the troops. Pilots with m4s? What happened to swimming, and all the other animations included in Modern Warfare? (positions of AT, 3 speeds for pistols and being unarmed). Other than that, i would rather play ofp with this mod than arma or any other mod. Hopefully a mod of this caliber will be released for arma.
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 1, 2008 Guys I'm on Vista Home Premium 32 bit and the extra resistance contents are only or for win2k_xp or for win98 What must I do for have them on Vista? RESOLVED REINSTALLING THE MOD! EDIT: I've some other questions: 1-How can I give at all weapons an higher power? They aren't deadly a lot. One shot one kill, not five shots, one kill 2-How can I use another image of the aiming of the ak47? This one isn't very well Thank you
Neo-Babylonian 0 Posted August 19, 2008 Someone's can repair russian officer? PLEASE! Â Yeah, I second that. Infact West Officers always look just like regulars, I'm never able to tell since even before the 1.05 patch. The HYK mod they used has awsome textures for both West and East officers. Why did they only use the HYK OPFOR officer for East, then tried to "cover it up" after patch so he looks like regular soldiers with the helmet - and failed? This is an awsome mod - the best IMO - but please just someone replace both the officer textures, it driving me nuts! I'm sure someone somewhere will be able to change the scripts or something, as it already has the HYK mod, so just 're-route' the officer class to the right ones from that mod? Please someone help! echo1 0 Posted August 20, 2008 Yeah, I second that. Infact West Officers always look just like regulars, I'm never able to tell since even before the 1.05 patch. This is intentional, it was something that was discussed alot when it was implemented in one of the earlier versions of the mod. (I believe it was one of the FFUR 2006 releases). In reality, Squad Leaders would wear the same headgear as the other men in his/her squad, and have largely the same gear. Think about it, why would you wear a beret or cap? You forego all the protection that a helmet offers, and it would mark you out, to all who can see, as the officer, which is exactly the last thing you need when an enemy sniper is deciding who he is going to kill first. Â (Of course, in a single player game this isnt really relevant, as the AI will know that you're a squad leader anyway, its more an issue of realism, and multiplayer)

However, they already have squad leader and officer on the drop-down menu in editor, so why not make squad leader look the same while officer different. And also, I am pretty annoyed they didn't just replace the East Officer with a regular soldier model, but tried mending it, and failed. BTW, just wondering, how would the soldier themselves know who to fillow in real life? they must have like at least a little mark or something on their helmets. Thanks again for answering, and take care bro.
