Civil md-500e helicopter!

What would be nice to see is a gentle retexture to a tan color (preserving the original BIS texture details) and the addition of the nose mounted FLIR (and TOW ATGM's) used on the MD-500 Defender gunship. With proper permissions and/or credits I don't think some of the OFP mods would have minded if he ripped just the TOW ATGM mounts and missiles as well as the nose FLIR to create that gunship which is used by many different nations.

But oh well.... everyone is free to create unrealistic stuff if they want I suppose. It just would be nice if they listened to constructive criticism in order to make something that mission makers (or other mod teams) could really use and find very useful. For a civilian helicopter, if he was a little more delicate in his retexture jobs (using blending options and tricks on photoshop for example) and if he added some nice civilian designs (overlaying those is not difficult) and of coarse removed the unrealistic parts like the ladder, then he would have a quality product. I'm not addon expert myself, but I've done my fair share of hack jobs for my mod and know that it's not terribly difficult to improve something like these helicopters.

wow total post take over some of you people are sure being rude no wonder people dont play arma all of your rude people are making the game not worth playing and Vil your addons are nice looking sept they dont work .... so dont make a post about other peoples stuff unless your ready to be treated the same way on your addons

all of your addons are just a waste of time to download no wonder ever time i use one of your addons i get cfg errors on all of the stuff i download from you boy no wonder why no one uses your addons you dont fix the errors you just dont fix stuff

I like your chopper, just think of a situation where people don't have money for brand new stylish stuff and weld together whatever they have to get something working.

two thing I don't like:

1. The missing LODs, maybe you can work on this?

2. Your last post. I found it incredible cool how you ignored all those people "irritated" by your type of modding. If you could return to this? Just concentrate on the technical part.

Some are just going with the plebs without even having downloaded the chopper... so he's "partially" right.

Little by little does the trick thats what most people forget!

If we demotivate people now... they might never release that one addon everyone's waiting for in the future.

a ladder can't be "silly"

if they are usefull/realistic or not can be disussed.

My interpretation:

they are meant for mission were you use the heli of a local tourists flyer where they "upgraded" the choppers from airplane parts to help old tourists to get onboard.
