RUDOLF 9 Posted May 25, 2009 It seems you've got some real progress on the current Winter War stage from this screenshoot! By way, prefere you still to use your current PC. So when you're satified with your work with this low settings, then would be in top quality actaully on others PC.:o
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted May 25, 2009 Everything is old in that screenshot besides that fence (and its too bright) :p Island used in that screenshot is Isla de Pollo by Goeth.
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) I have three new screenies for you, folks. They are made in quite a haste and they aren't all too well staged. I rather spend my time working on this mod than handling PR  Soviet artillery delivers their christmas greetings Featuring some of our shelled trees (which are still early WIP) Its going to get really warm soon Here is again how lazy I am at staging screenshots, just one OT-130 and nobody else what-so-ever attacking? Sheesh... Fire support Soviets used their tanks as mobile support artillery to cover infantry assaults. This method wasn't very effective and armored involvement became more obivious, which resulted huge casualties amongst tankists. Later in war tank tactics changed drastically. Of course that officer just happened to look at my direction when I took that screenshot... Island is still same old, but we are making some progress and hopefully I have something to post in near future on that subject. RUDOLF 9 Posted June 11, 2009 Really nice to see these updation and great screens. By way, are you team still focusing on ARMA Mod or transferring to ARMAII?
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Our priority is ArmA, we will be porting our work to ArmA 2 after initial release. Before that I need new computer.
[asa]oden 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Nice to hear. Looking forward to run Warfare with these units.
hamis 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Nice to see some progress.Do you have campaign wip?
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Our island is early WIP so not much can't be done, but I have been cooking up small campaign assuming we get enough mission makers to do it :p
RUDOLF 9 Posted June 13, 2009 Just a suggestion. If things are still in very early stage, maybe could consider turning to ARMA2 directly.
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 13, 2009 We are not really in early stages and we have also thought about ArmA2. Mod will move to ArmA2 eventually, but we make release to ArmA. There is also ever lasting problem that my computer cant handle ArmA2, would require major hardware upgrades.
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 20, 2009 Quick update in mids of "juhannus", since I don't actually have a life  M/36 Field uniform (Sorry for officers strap, it has wrong material file. Noticed it too late).
RUDOLF 9 Posted June 21, 2009 Nice finnish soldier models! Keep up the good work. By way, did you make any custom faces for Finnish in game?
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 22, 2009 We haven't made custom faces yet and we wont make huge changes for sure, but there will be some modifications on existing ArmA faces.
jojimbo 0 Posted June 22, 2009 love the "roughness" on the uniforms etc, great job
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks, I do try to make them look a bit so that somebody might have actually used them somewhen :p
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted July 14, 2009 Time for first feature preview. Preview of featured mines in mod (still WIP). Mod includes 3 different type of mines, AT-mine (PSM36), AP-mine (Luhas trap) and pipemine. AT-mine requires vehicles track or wheel to go over the mine before it explodes. Only visible part of mine is small part of cap which makes spotting harder to player driven vehicle. To make mine easier to spot in this video it is marked with orange smoke. There isn't much need to comment about AP-mine, video shows pretty clear how it is and works. Pipemine tripwire lenght can be set by player since both sticks can be placed at will and their placement can be manipulated before arming the mine. -ubLdU_hUW0 Also T-20 Komsomolets prime mover is model/texture-wise ready and in-game. Capable to tow AT-gun and artillery pieces (still to do) with weapon crew of 6 men. Original model by Wildo, redone by me.

Von Rundstedt 0 Posted July 15, 2009 Good work!Keep on going.:D You bet we will ;) Also on some news regarding about ArmA2 and mod: As ArmA2 has been released and most intrest seems to shift towards its direction. We felt that its good idea to let people know about our plans. General outlining is that we will make first release to ArmA and after that we port it to ArmA2, which at the moment isn't in haste since necessary tools haven't been released. We made a promise that we release for ArmA and we will ;) Now its time for few ArmA2 screenshots. RUDOLF 9 Posted July 18, 2009 Nice soldier screens! It seems you got a new PC now... By way, will you also make any winter map when you give the first release?
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted July 19, 2009 Nope, not yet. h- has taken those screenshots. And yes we are making winter island for release, but it might take a while before we have something to show from it.
belgerot 33 Posted July 19, 2009 I'm glad to see things progressing, the new mine types look great and seem to function well in game. It's great to see such an interactive addon. I'm really looking forward to the Arma release :) My favorite screen: http://fww2.org/kuvat/fww2_armashot_01.jpg
StubbleHopper 0 Posted July 20, 2009 Nice work Von Rundstedt very nice, I wonder if you can help me out, I'm trying to get my own WW2 units into arma 2, Germans and Russians. How did you do it? Can you PM me with a few tips cheers Stubblehopper

It's great to see such an interactive addon.I'm really looking forward to the Arma release :) My favorite screen: http://fww2.org/kuvat/fww2_armashot_01.jpg Thanks :) I find it a shame that most of modding community abandoned ArmA completely after ArmA2 was released (I can understand it thou), since there is decent amount of people who can't play ArmA2 anyway. The thing that makes it even worse is that its pretty easy to make it for both games without excluding either one. I also like that screenshot and I was recently thinking about updating it to level of current progress. Nice work Von Rundstedt very nice, I wonder if you can help me out, I'm trying to get my own WW2 units into arma 2, Germans and Russians. How did you do it? Can you PM me with a few tips Nothing special there, just don't binarize your pbo's and its content. Now this obiviously requires that you have MLOD version of models. If you have more questions about it, send me a PM.
StubbleHopper 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Thanks Von Rundstedt, I'll give it a go!
Von Rundstedt 0 Posted July 28, 2009 Another giant promo picture on the way. M/26 Lahti-Saloranta LMG The weapon was able to fire in both full automatic and semi-automatic modes. M/26 was extremely accurate and earned name "rapidfire rifle". Finnish Army only used 20 round box magazine (instead of 75 rounds drum) which didn't really support weapons capabilities. Even greater mistake was that parts were too tight, which caused jamming when dirt got inside. Finnish soldiers prefered Soviet counterpart DP-27 over domestic M/26 (click on picture).
