fromz 2 Posted November 7, 2007 After the FFAMM1.3, I have Continued research and development, The People's Liberation Army (China Army) Special forces mod, Named Fromz Chinese Special forces (FCSF).This mod creat is all by myself, So may be slower I would like to produce the following stuffs 1) New Model and UV mapping of east Asia armed men 2) Active Series Small Arms Weapons of PLA Special forces, include Assault Rifles QBZ95 (5.8mm) QBZ95 (5.8mm) QBZ95B (Short) QBZ95 GL (5.8mm) QBZ95GL QBZ95SCP (3xZoom Optic) Light Machine Gun QBB95 (5.8mm) Sniper Rifle QBU88 (5.8mm) Pistols QSZ92 (5.8mm) QSZ92SD 3) Based on Real PLA SF or PLA UN Force Military Operations, I would like edit one to three SP and MP missions for this mod. Of course it's best to make big mods with great quality but there were just few of thgese in OFP history and modding in ArmA is even more time-consuming. Thank for over laud mate I'm not sure the date, by reason of my busy working (livelihood), i just develop the mod in rest time. All mod works by my self.The modeling and texture cost much times. Panda-PL- 0 Posted November 15, 2007 I like the rifle. I am not sure what kind of rubber/plastic the grips/bed are made of but they look qite shiny. Should the plastic parts maybe be less reflective than the metal? I don't know how the rifle should look, so I cannot judge. The scope looks good. There is some wrong mapping on the back of the cocking handle. I mean those parallel lines that appear on surface when you amp it from the side. This version has the problems fixed.  Ha, Thanks, I just think about FFAMM1.4, it will be better, Many sounds will have improment. but finish my CSFM 1.0 beta first I made QSW06 pistol to displace QSZ92SD (QSZ92 can not attach silencer),and QSW06 is impro-type for QSZ92 I added simple night aim point in QBZ95,QBZ95GL,QBZ95SCP I reworked on QBZ95s shiny texture, made them less reflective. I made new QBZ95B short rifle Look at QSZ92 New aim QBZ95s QSZ95B - 1 QSZ95B - 2 You need not see above images, because they are just in progress, I'm working on New character model and QBB95, QBU88 now... Stew QBZ95s is only servised in PLA (China Army), Used 5.8mm Chinase DPB87 ammo. And the QBZ95 foreign trade version, Type 97, Model number QBZ97, Used 5.56mmNATO ammo, looks similar with QBZ95. You can check QBZ95 QBZ97 (compare the different magazine) Kampuchea Armed Police used QBZ97 Kampuchea Armed Police used QBZ97 - 2 The QBZ97 is also exported to USA and many other countries, especially South Asia. But the QBZ95, Never exported, Just used in China Armed Forces. I think QBZ95 is more powerful than QBZ97, Because the ammo. Some West countries magazine articles, Report the 5.8mm ammo and rifles which I have readed, made many mistakes. Panda-PL- 0 Posted November 17, 2007 The rifle sights look amazing now! The old ones were too shiny for my liking. Other thing I went trougth while making my HK416/417 - I was told the rifles were too dark. Even black is grayish in daylight, so I finally put it besides the BIS G36 and matched the brightness. The handgun slide is just perfect, but I fear the rifle might be a bit too dark, I'm not able to see the textuire details. I had a lot of problems because majority of photos and videos I used for reference had bad lightning and the rifle looked darker than IRL. Plus grey textures seem more 3D than dark ones. If you're using a specular map remeber what ArmoredSheep once said: RED channel is for diffuse modification (diffuse map is multiplied by RED, so if the red channel is not all max the diffuse texture will get darkened) Green is the actual specular Blue is a specular power modiffier (if it's not full the specular power is decreased, might be helpfull if you want plastic parts to have less specular power etc. Personally I just make a new matterial for them).
