Modern Combat Mod - SLX Released

the OFCW ch47 was replaced with a new model, and had to add ll the crap to it like animated doors, landing gears, and sling loading capable. Keep seeing other versions of one floating around but the get horded, thus left it with the gulf war mod, that pan to complete once my combat tour is over in a few months. Along with a ton of other marine themed units. Mcar it the only way to make wheeled vehicles fire guieded missile systems, I updated some of the combat humves, a while back, to current spec M1114A1, M1151A1, fixed the geo lod issues that make the not shake at last. Still testing them for the most part..

hi, i have a little question..

is there possible to make the prisoners "count as dead?" or maybe switch their sides?

because of that, any missions required to eliminate all enemies will be stuck except you kill the prisoners (oh, man..! huh.gif )

fix this, and this mod will be 100% perfect!! can't wait for the next release biggrin_o.gifyay.gif

Silhouette has a good point there. Ive found that if ive eliminated most of the enemy in a mission and waiting for mission completed status I dont get it but after I kill a captive I achieve it. I dont like that concept of killing captives to make a mission completed.

+ CH-46 Transport Helicopter.

There is a CH-46 in the Jungle Fever-Mod. Problem is, it needs to be retextured, so it fits your timeframe.

There's an excellent CH-46 in the new BOH pack.

Thought I would mention but it seems the RPG-7V2 is the standard russian army RPG-7 model while the Russian VDV/airborne use different rpg types (like rpg-18 etc....) but also have the RPG-7D3. All these were adopted in 2001 as standard for the Russian military ground forces. AFAIK terrorists, resistance groups etc... dont use the PG-7V but instead PG-7VL and other RPG-7 ammunition such as PG-7VR etc...

Also if it is not too much of a hassle can the dynamic voices (ffur series) be implemented and the russian and american battle sounds/soldier sounds etc... (to give a real battle atmosphere) along with radio chatter (like in ffur)

Also please use the CSLA Gaz-69 instead of the VTE one wink_o.gif. its better done.

Also any chance of seeing the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform ? I also hope there is Improved Outer Tactical Vest , Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops , Modular Tactical Vest (USMC) , and lastly Interceptor body armor (seems the army has transitioned to improved outer tactical vest) while interceptor continues to be issued to garrison and training post troops for some time to come. Also those units to be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan have units of interceptor body armor issued to them.

Yeah the original OFP voices are annoying now (especially russians) for some reason I caught a injured russian asking for Vodka? and when I was trying out the red hammer campaign the first mission against the civilian resistance one of them called the civilians, americans. Also the injured russian noises are getting annoying especially the sneezing sound and the one that sounds like (ahh jee jee ja). Also note the russian notice at the beginning of the battle I here so much the "I Know!" sound quote lol but I mean its not like americans aren't annoying to hearing "Eat led commie scum!" at the same time blast my speakers lol.

I thought I would also point out that PASGT "K-pot" helmet was supposedly replaced by the MICH TC-2000 Combat Helmet by the end of 2007 and as always please check my previous posts in this topic as they might have been edited.

Also is it possible to include ammo crates with all the small arms included in the mod. This way the player can choose which sights etc... he can use. For example if a russian player playing as russia wants a better ak-103 for his mvd unit then he can go up to an ammo/weapon crate and get one with a PKAV sight or gp-30 or with cobra etc... or he can get a better weapon with initialization field in mission editor.

What I probably havent mentioned is to implement a backpack system so that you can carry further ammo in it and for other purposes etc... because ive found 8 magazines (at the expense of grenades) sometimes just isnt enough and also how about to complement artillery being able to call up air support like bombers etc... ?.

Also since I mentioned these addons before would it be possible to give the RPG-29 for Resistance (anti tank specialist) and the BGM-71 Tow (Hizbullah had them).

I also checked the export status on this (http://bbs.chinavme.com/attachment.php?aid=8316&noupdate=yes)

and it turns out it was exported even to resistance fighters like KLA (was waiting to confirm status) so I think it would be appropriate to give resistance this additional anti aircraft gun while giving them also 81mm W87 mortar (VME PLA 3.1 PP87).

Also AT-3 Sagger/9K11 Malyutka has a chinese designation of HJ-73 so I think it would be appropriate to name it 9K11 Malyutka/HJ-73(B/C?)

Too bad you cant put in chinese units in this from the PLA mod but they use BIS heads. Other then that I'd like to see the sky Module from the 2 FFur mods(85 and 07) it gives a shine to the abrams that the sky you have in MCM.

The PLA mod works fine and is fully compatible with MCM-SLX (1.0 and 1.02) , If chinese units are added then people will be requesting BOH , European units etc.... I think its best to concentrate on USA vs RUSSIA while if players want additional european or chinese units or japanese ones they can download and use additional addons that should be compatible with current and future versions of MCM-SLX (i hope with future versions as well).

Tested PLA with it. Well for one the anims get in the way of each other (not running) but the safe walking from the original safe standing (thats implimented by MCM) then when they walk it switches to the original OFP walking animation where the gun is on the back.

HOLY SH** the PLA mod tanks are extremely strong it takes 4 MPAT-T shots of the M1A2 to destroy a ZT-62 and over 12 MPAT-T shots to destroy the ZT-99 tank crazy_o.gif

Hi all,

I've been hard at work with the mod and it is coming along very nicely, I'm about to ask ThunderBird84 for the use of his upcoming islands with the new grass so that will be promising. I've re-written the scripts and config again and even got around to a new readme. Work continues on the U.S. forces and the Russians are getting seen too as well.

Some SLX features will be disabled:

SLX maneuvers.

SLX Surrendering.

SLX Arty Spawning.

SLX Commanders MG.

As I don't really want to go through all the weapons again, The new readme already includes a full weapon list for all weapons and magazines, It even includes the different optics and version which are explained clearly.

Hey Big Roney,

I know it's not your field of expertese, but there is something I'd really like to see. That would be a smarter AI pilot. Many planes fly so low they crash into the ground or a hill side. I know it must be due to weapons range, but the large bombers fly way too low and get shot down. Helo's will fire an entire salvo of rockets into a hill side, but the target is actually on the far side of the hill. Just things that have always bugged me. After Solus made the changes he did for infantry it seems something could be done with pilots too???

Will you also add more animations from the dma/lean pack and from sanctuary's GRAA ?

Edit:there is a pack which contains the SVU sniper rifle i think it would be good to use for the VDV because it is a compact sniper rifle and it is replacing the SVD.

Where did you hear that? Besides, considering the poor state of Russia's millitary, upgrades are slow. Things like the Ak74, Makarov PM and many others were meant to be replaced, but never were. SVD will still be the main Russian rifle for a while.

Big Rooney a nice feature that would be very useful to implement is the action menu from FFUR'85-SLX that allows ammo crates and boxes loaded onto vehicles and then unloaded.

Edit: also thought about giving the US Special Forces (DELTA) with the hk 416 ? along with the : United States Navy Mark 12 Mod 0/1 Special Purpose Rifle (SPR). I also hope knives are implemented along with bayonets and others.

I havent read whole topic, but I've got a problem, which came out with v1,2. Its walking sound... its everything ok in 3rd person view, but in 1st I can hear a terrible echo and a sound of dirty slums or something that I can't explain. Do somebody knows how to repair it?

hmm, not sure about the slums noise. but i reverted back to version 1.01 coz the 1.02 walking sounds were doing my head in.

i don't know what's changed but in 1.02 the sound just goes up in tempo/pitch when you speed up which sounds really quite odd. was enough to make me switch back.

this isn't a complaint as i appreciate all the work done on these mods, just my tuppence.
