darkNight 0 Posted August 25, 2007 wow! really love this mod, can't wait untill you release it! the black hawk down movie is just amazing. if you will make the mod as well as it seems to be it will be my favourite mod! damn it! just looking forward to all of those nice missions and skins
Kenwort 0 Posted August 25, 2007 Well it's not hard to make it like the movie the only thing to worry about is the stupidity of the AI. Hope them hummers won't drive in wall stuff like that
Kerry 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Dang! And you guys should add anothr formation for the AI to move in, and label it like "Mob" or somthing!! =D You may se its not realistic, but it would be AWESOME!!! and have the Somali's accuracy dropped alot, and OH MAN!! Cant wait, keep it up!
LoFFeN 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Wow...Nice looking BHawk.
-)rStrangelove 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Really looking forward to this mod. One big issue i see is to let those Littlebirds land in narrow streets and on rooftops to insert the D-Boys. Good luck !
Deathstruck 375 Posted August 28, 2007 BTW will you make new mogadishu insurgments?or you just plan to make a armed black civilian?
Kenwort 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Well we for sure will have scripts to allow choppers land on rooftops and on streets We have not decided yet, but for sure black armed civilians will be But the good news is that big papa - thunderbird84, is joining our MOD He will take the position in Team leading, scripting, effects.. etc.. So now our mod is going to be as much as realistic as it can be thanks to thunderbird84 But still we are looking for more Modelers and Texture artists!
Gedis 0 Posted August 28, 2007 cool, big paps and Tbird is joining! Heh, haven't heared anything about these peeps for ages... ...but what comes to my mind is Y2k3 and FFUR mods on our veteran - ofp. Linker Split 0 Posted September 13, 2007 We ahave not stopped working on the MOD guys! But the process to convert all our old models to ArmA is very hard... I'm working on importing models, and the island itself, our modelmakers are attempting to create new objects! here is my owrk on the BlackHawk: stay tuned, more to come
VXR 9 Posted September 13, 2007 Nice work. Can you tell me what the count is on the mh60 model? On the wireframe it looks quite lowpoly (no offence) This is what the Arma wireframe looks like.
Linker Split 0 Posted September 13, 2007 yes it's about 5000 polys...

Balschoiw 0 Posted September 14, 2007 If you need information and/or some material for setting up the scenery I could scan some of my photos I took while being there. BTW, the movie is not as close to reality as most of the people think. Edited out my face for privacy reasons.
-AIF- Kris 0 Posted September 14, 2007 And dont forget them two aussie soldiers who kept there squad toghter. Go aussies
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 14, 2007 BTW, the movie is not as close to reality as most of the people think. With Ridley Scott directing and the US DoD participating and de facto overseeing the production, the chances of an accurate and impartial portrayal of events were zero from the start. The Mark Bowden book "Black Hawk Down" is vastly more interesting and thought provoking than the movie. I believe that the Mogadishu scenes were actually filmed in Tunisia in locations that had been scouted for Scott's other cinematic abortion "Gladiator". I believe that the Mogadishu scenes were actually filmed in Tunisia in locations that had been scouted for Scott's other cinematic abortion "Gladiator". agree the book was way better, and believable, but as 90% of the movies produced in US the film is stuffed with mainstream action that keeps the interested folks outside. I really loved the first 3 Alien movies Scott made tough.... Glad to see the BHD mod going on, appreciated
