Explosion FX

Recommended Posts

Can i use it in MP on any map, if so, how? The readme says "If you are a mission or addon maker..." that tells me that this could be made as a addon. But how?

Edit: Great job btw!

Do pieces of debris start out flying at about the same speed and vector as the vehicle that was destroyed, slowing down as they lose propulsion and encounter air friction?

This is great stuff, thank you MadDogX!

I've converted this into an addon. No more mission editing required to enjoy these fine effects smile_o.gif

Maybe some light source dropping with that effect, so it will look better in night? :P

Robalo, there's a problem...

I tried to play coop mission with this addon and I got "gamestate context stack underflow" error huh.gif

zGuba, that's weird, I've just played a long coop session with 5-6 friends (and I mean long, about 7 hrs) we all had this mod on and the server too, had no issues.

I've never ever seen that error anywhere huh.gif Might be some conflict with another addon, just a guess.

I don't think it's an conflict, maybe this script's trigger is too loopy... Disabled that addon and problem disappeared. So maybe there's a need to simplify hit & killed event detection...

Nice idea Robalo, converting it into an addon. I had thought of that myself.

Perhaps you would be interested in cooperating with me on a similar project to bring the ExploFX to the "next level" so to speak. biggrin_o.gif

Nice to see this project started up again smile_o.gif I always used to use this script but I got out of the habit of implementing it. Now that it's an addon I can have it all the time now smile_o.gif

And it spurs me on to do something with my smoke effects too.
