Cam51 0 Posted November 15, 2006 I was wondering if BIS fixed most of the multiplayer bugs. These problems/bugs only show up with 2 or more people in a vehicle at one time. Did they fix: Helicopter gunner bug - where the gunner could not see any targets on his radar or lock on to anything, if a human was the pilot. Tank Commander bug - where the human tank commander would tell the human driver where to move and he would not see the waypoint, and telling the human gunner which target to attack and the gunner would not see it (it being the TARGET> symbol. Dismounting AI bug - if a human pilot dropped off a human player and his squad, the AI would not get out untill the human pilot would get out. Human pilot would be in his own seperate squad. OH-58 Laser designator bug - If a human was flying and a human was gunning, the human gunner would not be able to lase a target. The crosshairs would form a diamond but no red laser dot would be shown and no target would be available. (If there is no laser designating chopper in Arma, than forget this 1). Can't get there bug - The ai would scream "Cant get there!" if a human was the pilot (sometimes they would get in even though they said cant get there, and sometimes they wouldn't until the human disembarked). So... for those of you that have the game already, could you please test these bugs out for us poor unfortunate people that don't have it yet. If anyone can think of some other bugs that I am forgetting, post them here in hope that they get tested. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Plz confirm <ul> - Ai can fire throw bush - dunno if this is or not been fixed.. i saw some videos but was not totally convinced - Bike get wasted bye a tall grass - fixed? - Sometime weapon desappear - fixed? - Invisible walls blocking fire - fixed? - AI don't attack a tank with black turret - fixed? - Score is cheating in vet - Is there an option to remove? - Rain inside house and jeeps - fixed? - Mirror are fake in ofp - think i saw in videos that mirrors don't would eighter in arma - Engine and light stop if you go out of a car - fixed? - You can see a light coming from other side of map - fixed? - When using a nade on a wall, you can kill all men in a building (6 stages ..) - fixed? - Addons are badly handle, and can crash client/server - :s edit1:<ul>- You can't kill a light on a street - fixed? - ai are stupid, they don't know they can take ammo in crate - unless we order them ... 1 clip, 1 clip, 1clip ... zzzzz .... - ai can't walk on a bridge - fixed? - tank explode if they touch water ~10s - fixed? - Ai can see trought smoke - fixed? No, they aren't, AI will already rearm in OFP if they have an AI leader, trust me I've seen it plenty of times. And I believe I might have also seen them rearm a few times on their own even when under my command. So if they're stupid, they only have their squad leader to blame. Yes, they can do that in OFP too, as long as their formation doesn't conflict with the path. They might get stranded if something gets in their way, but they can certainly cross it if they wish. I've crossed my AI across the Nogova bridge a few times before, most of them had no trouble following me. They might also prefer to walk on the road sometimes, but I've seen them use the side too. This sounds more like a wishlist than a buglist. Things you listed already work perfect with OFP and others are simply engine limitations for OFP. A bug is: Do horns work in Multiplayer now ? To name a few : Results of these commands are lost after loading a savegame - Scripted waypoint type - setface - showMap - showCompass - showWarrant - showWatch - showPad - Animationphase - setObjectTexture - time Combatmode Return is only correct when you call setcombatmode in a script or trigger. I always wanted to have real working horns, its damn anoying if someone is in front of your truck and doesnt seem to notice you. Hope it wont be a horn-fest in MP now..... I found that the most repulsive aspect of the game. How so? I never noticed that before. The AI in OFP is great, regardless of what some people might think, if they're used properly. Maybe you guys are looking at the more superficial aspects of the AI, but they really can amaze you sometimes in combat. The AI in ArmA can definatly be expected to be better than in OFP, so it's going to be good no matter what, buy how much we don't really know, but hopefully it will be amazing. sanctuary 19 Posted November 17, 2006 With some clever mission design and intelligent scripting, in OFP you could already sometime do wonders with the OFP AI to surprise the player and imitate some more believable behaviours. If the ArmA AI has already more built-in features and is already better than the OFP AI, with the help of the new scripting commands and if the AI routines can be edited as i think i have read in some of the threads here, i just can't wait to play with it. I believe car horns and turning out from armored vehicles should now work correctly in MP . I think car horns were a very important thing to fix. Especially if the bicycle is still in ArmA.
