FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack

Recommended Posts

Well, "sound system" - generally I think about some irritating issues with volume - mainly lowering when switching between 3rd and 1st person views, it truly happens! In SP game you can simply press ESC twice to get rid of too silent vehicle sounds, but in MP games it's impossible. Due to this I don't switch perspective either in MP and SP games. confused_o.gif

Anyway, I'm waiting for the patch wink_o.gif

This problem is not unique to ffur! It happens with all mods i have . Come to think of it it happen's with vanila ofp tounge2.gif EDIT = why not make sure you know what you are talking about before you post mad_o.gif You are just giving the lad who made this mod more of a headache!

Great units TB84. Good decision on those BDU vests. Gameplay wise, this can help the U.S players to better camuflage in woodland environment, while remaining true to realism with the ACU camo. The ACU itself looks good too.

Anyway about that animation problem in 3d party addons: Why won't you add a HMMWV with a TOW launcher to your mod. That's probably the main reason people use 3d party HMMWVs with FFUR. You can add the BRDM AT-3 (by mecha_stalin I think) to the Russians as counter-ballance.

hey folks i while back i saw a post about maybe adding hmmwv wrecks instead of the normal jeep wrecks i thought this was supposed to be done? would improve a few things when using the wrecks. also with the new soviet ural truck in the mod where the truck came from werent there any wrecked trucks aswell? i thought there were maybe you could replace the bis wreck with that wreck?

http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=8868

i believe this could be the addon from spetsnatz mod

as you can see in the pic when enlarged you see multiple wrecks from normal troop carrier to fuel trucks and stuff

maybe consider replacing the ural wreck? just a suggestion

Hey TB. Love the Units looking very smooth. On the subject of the wrecks I think the introduction of the HMMWV wrecks would be wrong, The Wrecks are also used by resistance jeeps and UAZ's not just US Jeeps, But the Ural wreck would be cool.

He meant the wrecks in the editor, the "jeep wreck 1" , "jeep wreck 2" thins. I also suggested this before and TB said he will think about it or something like that . .

IS there anyway to put in the original settings for the views of 1st and 3rd person from ffur 1.0? I can normally adapt to new views but 2 be honest 1st person looks weird and 3rd person is to far away from the player confused_o.gif

Modify the config by yourself... am I correct if there will be a "FOV Readme" with 2.5?

I like wide FOV, but middle position is needed too, especially in opened areas. I wonder if there was a switch between middle and wide position, not key holding inlove.gif it's probably OFP limitation (?)

I know. What I meant to say was that some of the jeep wrecks are used as wrecks for UAZ's and Resistance Jeeps, Not just US jeeps.

Yes, but the current US Jeep doesn't fit for them either. Perhaps replacing the existing wrecks with the HMMWV Wrecks, and then ADDING additional wreck classes for the UAZs etc. to better reflect the model(s) used.

Hmmm... just one and - I hope - last question about incoming patch from me. Will Apache engine/rotor sound be louder when you're in cockpit? Currently it's very silent, so I have to increase master volume when engines are down and I try to make autorotational landing.

Am I correct if Hind's Yak-B bullets aren't fired directly from the barrel? whistle.gif

Several wreck models derived from the implemented models will be included instead of BIS ones.

As mentioned above, there would be a small tut which will explain the way to customize your own FOV.

Quote[/b] ]Will Apache engine/rotor sound be louder when you're in cockpit?

This would certainly be done as it has already been accomplished for the Hind.

Quote[/b] ]Is the patch still not out!

The time is seriously lacking here because of real life duties, every free minute is used in order to accomplish the patch, though, it's nearly accomplished btw.

Just keep patient, Patience is a virtue. ; -)

Patience is a virtue. ; -)

Maybe some people should learn that a soldier's life predominantly consists of waiting and dull routine. So, indeed, patience is an essential virtue. wink_o.gif

Checked page 53 but not there, I mean by each track which is in the name of the song/who done it. wink_o.gif

There are some soundtracks, these I know:

- "Armageddon" - which repeats twice  confused_o.gif

- "Crimson Tide"

- "The Gladiator" (is it called that?)

I don't know any other because .ogg's weren't descripted.

My reworked FFUR 2006 2.0 music selection will be included in incoming patch, hopefully with some little changes. I wanted to include "The Rock" soundtrack in place of one "Armageddon".
