JAS 39C Gripen WIP

I thought I'd make a WIP thread for my OFP/ArmA project. Currently I'm working on the textures as the model itself is pretty much done. Here's some renders for starters.

I have the detailed cockpit and weapons left to model and later on I've planned to make a high detailed model for normal maps. I also plan to make Czech, Hungarian and SA versions. And maybe a D dualseat version.

I'll post some ingame shots later.

Mmm...I was wondering when someone would make one of these. I noticed you said 'Project', is that to say youre working on a mod or something?

BTW, the detail is amazing....Looks like SCARs Sukhois have some competition!

It would be cool to have a "clean" dualseater! On maps like mapfact nogova the ILS is really good, and its ok to take the back seat and let the AI fly, if the cockpit looks nice and detailed the rest looks kinda real life, especially fast turns at low level look very cool from backseat!

Nice plane cannot wait to give it a spin!

Looks awesome, the texture work too, great work! I love the little details, like on the landing gears. What features are you planning on implementing? This is definatly something im going to keep an eye out for!

Looks very nice, not too many faces either by the looks.

I'd like to see what it looks like in bulldozer (or ingame for that matter) though. 3DS and Brazil render can make anything look awesome.

As you can see I haven't assigned smoothing groups in o2 yet; it's a shame you can't import that information from max. Also, I'm still working on the texture.

Looks pretty good in O2 though mate. Hope sorting out the smooth/sharp faces doesn't prove too much trouble.

Benthenoob, the RAF don't use Gripens so it'd be a bit daft for him to make an RAF variant wouldn't it?

Gripen is used by Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary and, South Africa. The UK has Typhoons instead.
