Pro evolution soccer 5 PCdemo is out

Recommended Posts

Hehe nice goal - deflection wasn't it?

Well I think the world was created with people who like PES and people who like Fifa. I am personally a Fifa fan due to the graphics, animation, commentary, gameplay, official names/teams etc.

Demo for Fifa 2006 is out too smile_o.gif

Gonna have to check it out then;

PES5 - not EA's one.

Quote[/b] ]Well I think the world was created with people who like PES and people who like Fifa

Will - i think the world was created with ppl who like realism

and ppl who like Fifa biggrin_o.gif - but that's just an opinion of mine

a guy who gave trust to EA from their first version of FIFA

soccer up to 2002 i think. But also i started with Pro evolution

Soccer around year 99.

I must say that already Actua Soccer from Gremlin Software

did show me that Gameplay isn't the strength of EA when

it comes to an european sport (Football - Soccer) and all

that graphic's sounds animations and licenses cannot make

me feel i'm playing football - but it's 'looking good' you're right.

But then again my first tries in Pro evolution Soccer did show me that it is possible the get that feeling smile_o.gif

From 99 to now there's a PS(later a PS2) at my work, and

off course a multitap - we're having almost every day some

matches, because the best thing in Pro evolution Soccer is

the fact that it's so free playable that you will always find

some new scenes or situations, and not over and over the same robot football again and again.

And that there's not a real way like in FIFA, to score a goal

by 100%

Strategy guide in FIFA: run here then turn left - run in an ancle of 45% to the goal - hit button blabla for blabla seconds

and you score

Strategy guide in Pro evolution Soccer: = use tactics from

real life football and always give your best

OK, 'nuff said - just noticed that this could easily become a

flamewar between two hardcore fractions - so no more words

from me 'bout FIFA.

I don't know anything about these games, but the goalkeeper seems to go about in a rather 'unspectacular' way

or is his attitude in relation to the unexpectedness of your shots?

You know what?

I don't really care for any game coming out this year. After OFP everything seems like crap and I can't wait for the continuation. Nothing can change that except for ArmA or Game 2.

Yes, he didn't expect the first strike and it was a wellplaced slighty bended shot (as I say myself). Keeper could react a bit faster, but I'm playing this on 3 stars difficulty (which is medium),and that hard enough atm. tounge2.gif

btw, there was no deflection involved.

Two new ones

FIFA is carp

Yes. Yes it is.

Will wait for the PS2 version of PES5 tho, much more suited to the tv screen.

the defense player in the upper corner is priceless

seems like he wants to greet the corner flag before he decides to check the player that scores

is that due to your difficulty settings?

There was a player on the wing, maybe covering him and thought another defender covered the scorer.

The problem with PES is the same problem with OFP.

If you dont give it time you re gonna hate it.

I cant count how many people thought OFP and PES sucked cause of it s rather steep learning curve but afterwards when they gave it some time thought they were the best of their category.

So reinstall PES, get your ass kicked for weeks by the AI and then watch as you start getting better and start loving this series ...

Enjoy smile_o.gif

Exactly, I could't say this better smile_o.gif

Playing on 4 stars now in SP and on 5 stars when I play the demo with a friend against the CPU.

I really like feinting shots and passes...looks easy but it isn't...

feint_3

and the new dribble animations are awsome and easy to perform. The power of the R2 button

http://users.telenet.be/blanco/pes4/R_2.avi

I also played the Fifa 2006 demo because the ingame movies I saw were promising...

It's better then fifa 2005 but it can't reach the playability and fun of PES5.

Yesterday I saw a TV reportage about professional soccer players, in one of the scenes they were playing a videogame on console, which one do you think? tounge2.gif

I really hope EA will lose the fifa licenty one day...that's the only thing that bothers me on PES. Lets hope Wolf & Spark is still around...

Prefering FIFA instead of PES is like prefering MOHAA instead of OFP biggrin_o.gif

I used to play FIFA before I started playing PES. Never had PES...only plays it at my mate on PS2. But think I'm maybe gonna try getting PES5 to my computer...PES is sooo much more realistic and fun than FIFA. Yesterday I spent 6-7 hours at my mate playing PES4...

anyone know the release date for PES5 in europe? Heard it's either 5th or 15th...

The date for Pro Evo 5 at the moment is the 21st october (PS2 & Xbox). The Pc version follows a week later and should retail for about Å20 (PS2 & Xbox Å30 to Å40 depending where you shop) biggrin_o.gif

Out of interest JAP- which was the last iteration of Fifa that you tried?

Sorry for the late answer, been pretty busy.

Last Fifa i really played was 2000

But i rent it every year just out of interest to see if it s gotten better.

Fifa 2005 was in my ps2 for exactly 30 minutes ... even the menu interface was total crap crazy_o.gif

I give Fifa a shot every year ... but like every year it s a biiiiig letdown.

I make it up by playing NHL and NFL series every year.

Cheers

Got my grubby mits on pro evo 5 on me xbox, and im sorry to say im quite dissapointed.

First thing is it looks exactly like 4, but runs even slower. there is a bug with the crowd where they dissapear when your playing but where its a goal kick or corner the stadium is packed.

2 of the premier teams have the proper kits, chelski and gonners (arsenal) on a plus point every player has their proper name now.

What did impress me was the quality of the face textures, some of them are outstanding, pires of arsenal for example.

while playing the game the graphics are simply not good enough, you play it asking yourself, "this is supposed to be a new version, why does it look like im playing the last one?"

keepers can now do long throws and players do proper volleys now but its not enough.

ive been playing pro evo over fifa for the past few years, so im no fifa fan boy, far from it, but im sad to say but ill be playing Fifa 06 alot more that pes 5.

it looks to dated, the game play is slow and sluggish, not all the transfers were done (baros is at liverpool yet owen is at newcastle) the music and commentry is shockingly poor.

i just hope pes6 is gonna be a complete overhaul because that it whats needed.
