D.murphy man 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Thanks for the tips! So far im held up in marshment DP with about 30 others but i havnt seen any zombies around it yet. I think these guys must be some sort of clan or somthing. You say flares attract zombies? i was woundering why every time i log in theres been loads of flares fired off around the police station. Must be the guys inside trying to attract the zombies away from there safe house in the police station, i guess, since you say the zombies are attracted to large numbers of players. Any way im waiting for some more AP now to make my way back to the armoury and try searching it more then once (like i did before) now i relise you need to search a building sevral times before finding somthing. Trapper 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Keep in mind that the zombies are all played by humans. That makes them very intelligent. For zombies... The safehouse I'm at is less organized, and it was almost overrun one day by around 15 zombies.
D.murphy man 0 Posted September 10, 2005 I didnt know they where ALL played by humans i though only a few of them where and the rest where AI of some sort. I read on the forums that you can be revived from a zombie back into human status by some one human with a DNA extractor and other items.
Eddie Haskel 0 Posted September 10, 2005 How the hell are you people finding things? I've been finding every area picked cleaner than a zebra carcass on the Serengeti... You have to search multiple times, and preferably inside of buildings. I.E. I searched about 15 times in a row inside a police department, and I got five or six items. And, in buildings is better to search than outside. At the website I mentioned the list what u can find in certain buildings better than in other (An axe is easier to find at the fire department than in the museum) With the flares it's kinda funny, as you see so and so fired a flare at this and this place. It's ppl firing at zombies, as the zombies can't use objects, so it can't be them. Problem is, when u shoot the flare, everyone in the area knows. The Forts and Police Stations are prime targets as the zombies KNOW we want to go there to look for stuff. Your best bet is so: 1 person with freeing running (he can enter heavily barricaded buildings from adjacent buildings) 1 person with construction to build up the barracades. 1 person good with weapons. However, u are NOT allowed to work TOO closely together (this is loosely defined). No massing 20 of your own zombies and attacking a building, they gave as an example. And yes, there are Clans, check out the website I listed. Artifacts (as I can everything you can pick up), is limited, BUT there are plans to expand, including missions, more artifacts, and maybe even the ability to trade and give things (They're holding up on that for fear of ppl cheating). Also: the Bailie Arms [57, 89], West Grayside is VERY HEAVILY secured, can only be entered with free running skill from adjacent (not kittycorner) buildings! Egbert General Hospital [56, 88], West Grayside Heavy Barricade Cheek Road Fire Station [65, 76], Wray Heights very strongly barricade (Here is EdHaskel with several others) St Hilarion's Hospital [62, 79], Wray Heights also Heavily, and here is Eddie Haskel now. Trapper 0 Posted September 10, 2005 I read on the forums that you can be revived from a zombie back into human status by some one human with a DNA extractor and other items. I don't really know how that works. I think first a DNA sample has to be taken and then they need one of the very rare revieve syringes to revieve a zombie. I was killed and revieved two times now. - All I did was standing up as a zombie, and waiting around two days near my safehouse, until someone revieved me. Maybe I could have also been lying around dead until then. But there is also a revive list in the forums, where you can ask revivors to help you.
sanctuary 19 Posted September 10, 2005 Always, in Peppardville Sanc Tuary survived his night with the 4 people and the lone zombi stuck inside the pub. But as he didn't want to throw out too much luck , he moved and finally ended in Marshment Place Police Dept [76, 43] (he noticed some small zombi groups gathering in front of some building, maybe a big planned attack is in progress) The police dept is "very strongly" barricaded and there is 43 survivors inside (the most living people i saw in the same place) so it seems safe for a while, we should meet there. Sanc Tuary spent what is left of his time to search the building several time so he can get some more items for upcoming problems, but found only 2 shotgun shell , a flare gun and a pistol (another one). Oh, and he noticed Harr is there too
D.murphy man 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Im in the police dept. too ill try and find you and harr, how many zombies did you see out side? i want some zombie killing fun Edit: my characters names shell shock btw

I think you need to use the DNA extractor, then the Revivification Syringe. And teh ppl trained to do it LIKE to do it, cause that's how they earn XP points! sanctuary 19 Posted September 10, 2005 47 people now inside of the Marshment Place Police Dept [76, 43] in Peppardville Sanc Tuary has searched the building , losing a very lot of AP and found only 2/3 shotgun shell (no shotgun in the inventory) and 1 pistol clip + 2 pistol and 2 flare launcher. My character seems to have bad luck at searching and is out of AP again (annoying that saying something make you lose 1 AP each time), back to sleeping until more AP are available. The place should be safe with 47 people inside so if you are in need of a protected zone, it seems to be good... for now (as it seems there is currently a minimum of 40000 zombies roaming or inactive on the floor according to what i read in the forum). sputnik monroe 102 Posted September 10, 2005 I'm logging on to play, I'll try to meet Sanctuary and Harnu at the Marshment police station. Please stay there. Â Â I just logged on and here is the chat from inside the police station I'm in Kirby Boulevard Police Dept [62, 29] Â Here's the chat... Quote[/b] ]Since your last turn:Bloody Skull said "Healing please!" (09-10 08:13 GMT) Mastil Corrith said "Got 2 of them and almost finished a third before I ran out of ammo. Seems like I'll take a few days gathering more." (09-10 11:17 GMT) Jack the Ripper said "Here's the official report. The mass of zombies heading our way is called The Many, the CoL have been trying to deal with them, but its proving very difficult. My suggestion is that each of you keep logging on at different times of the day." (09-10 13:41 GMT) Jack the Ripper said "Every, hour perhaps, to check the status of the barricade, and reinforce it. Or, if you can, run. Get out of here as soon as you can. Those zombies will be through the doors and barricades quickly." (09-10 13:43 GMT) Jack the Ripper said "And then, of course, we could always try to organize a resistance, and make a counter-attack. We have a large number of higher-level survivors here, and we should be able to put a fair sized dent in them. If any of you have syringes, use those." (09-10 13:45 GMT) Bat Guano said "If The Many are coming, I'm not sticking around. If anyone wants to come, I'm likely relocating a couple of blocks south, within a short trip to the local hospitals and police stations." (09-10 14:35 GMT) Greg Detwiller said "Guano, which building? If we have a name at least we have somewhere to fall back to if things go sour here" (09-10 15:07 GMT) EMAG TRESNI2 said "Well this is trouble-I reallt don't want to rejoin the undead-I don't have FR so there is no where to run because noone ever thinks about the non FR's" (09-10 17:25 GMT) EMAG TRESNI2 said "I'll start running as fast as I can in some direction eventually..." (09-10 17:26 GMT) Bat Guano said "In the southeast, where I went, most of the buildings were barricaded to heavily, so it'll be tough. Shearbank isn't an option. Between the hospitals to the south, there was a VS barricade. I'd at least try that." (09-10 17:28 GMT) Bobman801 said "So where exactly are we moving to? I don't have FR either, so I can't get into most of the buildings to the south." (09-10 18:04 GMT) Dreadlar said "Can I get some healing, please? A PKer attacked me." (09-10 19:23 GMT) The Smoking Man said "Those son of a bitches from Something Awful; they are The Many. I'm going to get some more ammo and head south." (09-10 19:55 GMT) A flare was fired 4 blocks to the east and 1 block to the north. (09-10 19:59 GMT) Hydraxy said "Does anyone have an exact location as to where the many are? If we knew we can strike back some. Atleast slow the bastards down." (09-10 20:03 GMT) DaremasterSpoodle said "We need more info. What's the ETA on The Many? How much time do we have?" (09-10 20:12 GMT) DaremasterSpoodle said "And which direction is best to flee? I'm a low-level player so I need to leave. I suggest other newbies do the same." (09-10 20:15 GMT) Winter Storm said "Someone should warn people in the Necrotech building just to the southeast, they have been working pretty closely with the police department group" (09-10 23:34 GMT) player1024 said "just came from giddings mall, its perfectly safe there rite now. i was there when the attack happened on the mall and since then we havent seen any zombie action there..." (09-11 00:22 GMT) Micks said "I would suggest running south to Randallbank or as far as Pimbank. I'ma headin that way now." (09-11 00:27 GMT) Â Â I think I'm going to die. *Edit Hey I made it I'm in the Marshment police department with Sanc tuary and Harr. I had to weave through a lot of zombies on the way here from the north west. Many groups of about 5 to 10.
sanctuary 19 Posted September 11, 2005 The many is a group of zombies players from what i read on the urban dead forum, it seems there are some groups of people making groups to hunt livings , and "the many" is one of them Time to search for more ammunitions in the police department we are stuck in. As Peppardville zone seems to have several interesting place for livings, it is certainly one of the zone those zombies groups will come to. We are so going to die edit : (and 3 other AP wasted in finding nothing, bad luck is after me again)
sputnik monroe 102 Posted September 11, 2005 There's about 50 of us in this building, we might have a chance. Though the only combat I've seen so far was when I swung an axe twice at a zombie two days ago.   At the moment I have an Axe,two flare guns, a shotgun with one shot, a pistol with 6 rounds plus an extra clip. Hopefully I can do some damage and actually contribute some help if the station is attacked. Though I'm a bit pessimistic as the two axe swings I did the other day both missed  *Edit I had 15 APs when I got here. I just spent all of them and found nothing heh heh. Eddie Haskel 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Doesn't it cost an action point to "say" somthing? If it does, it's silly having conversations in there. Save the APs for fighting! Eddie P.S., lemme know if it does (or doesn't) cost a point. I think I did once and it cost me.

Harnu 0 Posted September 11, 2005 I just took a swing through the armory. Five zombies in the armory, but only two were at the fort itself. (Outside at least). Now I have: 3 x Pistols (18 Shots) 6 x Pistol Clips (36 Shots) 1 x Shotgun (2 Shots) 1 x Shotgun Shell (1 Shot) 2 x Flare guns (2 Shots) Along with my Fire Axe, Metal Pipe, and Crowbar, and now two flak jackets. I might shoot like shit until I get pistol training but it's gonna be raining gunfire at the fort tommorow or the day after.

The Frenchman 0 Posted September 11, 2005 I'm in St Helena's Hospital in Roachtown; using the name Frenchman. Anyone near me? I dont have any ammo. D: Edit: I found a pistol clip but still no gun.
DracoPaladore 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Harr, Sant, which block are you guys on? I'm off at Pegton with my new character Red Eye *edit Now in the Lavers Motel in Richmond Hills
sanctuary 19 Posted September 11, 2005 Look at the map linked by Major Fubar, The Frenchman you are 2 zone away from us, Draco Paladore you are in the block exactly south/west of us (EDIT : if you are in Richmond Hills now, you are now 4 block west and 1 block north of us). Everyone, try to get in Peppardville, in our "fortress of solitude" (the Marshment Place Police Dept [76, 43] with the 50 people that are inside . (but remember while you are in the way and just before running out of AP, don't forget to get inside of a barricaded or door secured building if you don't want to get killed by zombies when out of AP) From "our" police dpt building to the armory , you need a minimum of 13 AP point (if you don't have the specific skill to move easily between barricades). 5 to go (in the shortest way) 1 To go inside at least 1 to search (good luck to find something on the 1st attempt) 5 to come back (in the shortest way) 1 to enter again inside the police dpt fortress (and hope that none upgraded the barricades so you can't enter ) That's really a stupid idea to make dialogs cost 1 AP , difficult to manage a "strategy" with it , as you need as much AP you can to search and open fire. Since the beginning, i shot a zombie once and missed him several time with my pistol and ran away inside of a building after that as my AP were going dangerously low (that's why i have 5 XP)
DracoPaladore 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Ah shizzle. Way too late  Gonna take me awhile. *added* Just to keep up with you guys, I'm going to create a new guy. I now know what block you guys are on, so it's gonna be no problem. Pvt Draco on his way.

Daddl 10 Posted September 11, 2005 Ok, you guys got me sucked in! My lone firefighter Daddl is in Fryerbanks at the moment - having spent all his 50 points attacking a zombi (15 pts of damage done), searching two police stations (only found a friggin newspaper - two months old and with the page 3 girl ripped out! and finally finding refuge in the strongly barricaded Hensler Building ([93, 87]). Looks like a nice game to play while for a few minutes each day.
