Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted September 6, 2005 The game will be available for PC CD-rom It says that on the official site. Although i dont know weather or not it also will be available on dvd-rom. I assume BIS doesnt even know that before they found a publisher. I hope it will be available on both DVD is just so much easier.
Mope528 0 Posted September 8, 2005 one question I would asked, would have to be, WILL THESE NEXT GAMES get COMMERCIALS?? to inform other people in same regions of the games existence? seriously I love ofp and over and over I am forced to play lesser games to the shear fact that no one plays ofp, cause they don't know about it. go on counterstrike server and mention flashpoint and most of the time no one knows what you're talking about. i hate counterstrike and whenever I'm playing it, I just can't take it. I feel like telling them all, HEY there's a better game called flashpoint, and good news, IT'S only 6 dollars at your local bookstore. but they end up telling me shut up. and bann me. and please also MATURE games not meant for young people omg. I go playing killing games and see 14 year olds admining servers and kicking people for cursing. I mean if you playing a killing game shoulden't you be mature enough to let it go? it's not like you've never heard a curse word, I know cursing ain't the best thing but getting banned for it espesually when it just comes out accidently, is just getting annoying. some fathers tell me, hey can you watch the language, I got my 5 year old sitting here. I'm like why's he watching you play a killing game? shoulden't kids be watching cartoons. playing outside, whatnot. I just don't understand it. people these days, their kids playing grand theft auto, practicing killing cops but their parents don't care as long as they don't curse or have simulated sex. when those lines are crossed, BLAME the game makers for bad parenting. I'm sorry for rambling on about this stuff none of you care about, but this is helping me. it's kinda like getting mental help but cheaper, I don't have to pay 50 dollars for a 30 min. session for someone I don't know to hear me out, with my problems. thanks for reading this far, and please don't be mad at me don't worry B happy I'm just hoping for change
schmerzbringer 0 Posted September 8, 2005 huu. big post about a big theme. Not everyone has our opinion about what´s a better game. in the club of "The missunderstood 'by CS-Gamer' Gamer" Armed Assault and OFP2 will have same large community as OFP had/has. (hey 1.5 million sold copies, and a lot not sold copies too).
mooncaine 0 Posted September 8, 2005 "I mean if you playing a killing game shoulden't you be mature enough to let it go?" OTOH, if you're a guest on someone's server and they ask you not to curse, shouldn't you just be mature enough to respect your host's wishes? I do. Real excited about the next OFP. Gaming hasn't been fun for over a year now. Hate Joint Ops now, tried a few others [trust me, don't try Star Wars Battlefront unless you want an arcade game], but this has been the best one by far. twisted 128 Posted September 9, 2005 one question I would asked, would have to be, WILL THESE NEXT GAMES get COMMERCIALS?? to inform other people in same regions of the games existence? I think these new ones will speak for themselves hype sells. commercials will help build hype and awareness. ATM only OFP fans know about AA or game 3. to sell 1 million plus you have to spread the word. so, if AA is released mid December (this is just my guess don't get all worked up) then they should start hyping in october (previews/ screenshots/ news/ movies/ interviews) to get interest up by november so people actually give a damn when it goes gold and then hits the shelves. bistudios would be shooting themselves in the back not advertising and hyping this up. Skulleye 0 Posted September 9, 2005 I doubt there will be any advertising before they get a publisher at least. The developers don't normally do the advertising, right?
xnodunitx 0 Posted September 9, 2005 Most I'v seen is them put a few commercials on TV for a week or less before the release.

XeLSiS 0 Posted September 12, 2005 I was kinda just cruising around the net and looking at OFP2 screens etc, and at gamespot I noticed that, they have incorporated another realistic feature into game2 or ArmA or one of em anyway... The new pixel camo that the US army will make a standard in the next 5-10 years! MARPAT has been in use for a few years already.
Placebo 29 Posted September 12, 2005 Whatever it is it's not relevant to a discussion in the ArmA forum, there's probably a thread somewhere in the Game2 forums that's relevant
