United States Marines Pack

Recommended Posts

Quote[/b] ]and, in comparsion, are (thankfully) nothing like the ones in the Marine Assault Pack

Are the BDU's in the marine assault pack really that off colour?

And here I thought it was a pretty good pack.

yeah the color for the marine assualt pack is REALLY off...but my biggest gripe with those were the soldier models all together..especially the field packs but the weapon models were and still are top notch...

The majority of the clipping bugs encountered in the BETA have been fixed. The triangle bicep problem seems to be a BIS bug as a few of the BIS soldiers have the problem, therefore I cannot, at the moment, find a solution.

However, public release should be pretty soon, the models are done, its just a few texture and config problems that need sorting.

I may be wrong but arn't troops seeing front line combat reguardless whether Reserve, Active or National Guard are usually given the best equipment for survivability?

the short answer...unfortunately no....alot of guard units are still using dated (to say the least) equipment ..one big issue is the fact that there aren't enough uparmored humvees to go around...

unfortunately yes, as my favorite asshole stated as an answer to a national guardsmen in Iraq a couple months back..."you go to war with the army you have, not the army you want"

About the equipment... I heard that some of their relatives are buying and sending them (=some front line troops) NVG's, radios (Walkie-talkies), laptops, flashlights, bodyarmors etc. simply because the units don't have them. crazy_o.gif

Anyways... Nice units. The desert MARPAT has to be one of the most effective camos I've seen... thumbs-up.gif

It is a fact of military life that invariably those who are fighting the war get the best (or right) equipment last. Sometimes there are difficulties issueing kit to the troops or there are unscrupulous quartermasters who don't want kit dirty (my experience in various cases).

Take my father for example; he was sent to fight (and I mean really fight) in the Aden insurgency before the British left in the late 60s; he had to practise street-fighting wearing hob-nailed boots whilst conventional rubber/plastic soled boots had been the norm in Home Garrisons for nearly 20 years. I have tried hob-nailed boots and they are no fun to use, and in the a real fight your mobility would be hindered to say the least.

Anyway, variations of uniforms aren't expected to win wars, but certain items do; the units look good SafetyCatch-am downloading now biggrin_o.gif.
