It works great walmis, and you have it timed to the movement just right. Make sure to notify the SGmod, so they can incorporate some of the changes you made. I think they might be releasing a new DHD soon.

i`m currently working on jaffa units.

The mesh is complete however i`m having difficulties animating it. Could anyone help me?

I am glad that the Jaffa units are on the way and I understand that your mod is based on the TVshow and not the movie.

But.. Since, while modding the units, you don`t have the same imperatives of costs that the TVshow had, why don`t you make the Jaffas from the movie which had a much more impressive helmet system?

I understand that I may have open the pandora box for a profusion of arguments, and I appologize in advance for that, but I think it would be a nice occasion to bring back the fabulous warriors that were the essence of the story.(That and the flying Pyramide of course... sad_o.gif )

Jaffa units where some of the few things missing for me to make 'em stargate missions tounge2.gif i liked the movie and the tv-show alot. Hope you get some help with 'em animations smile_o.gif

Just a minor concern, aren't the units bodyarmour supposed to have more darker grey/metallic colour? I think they aren't grey enough. Reference pic

As I said it's just a minor thing, they are fine as they are wink_o.gif

One more question, how will the Jaffa's bodyarmour be configured? Will the Jaffa's have the health equivalent to a normal soldier in OFP or will it take a couple of bursts to kill a Jaffa?

Anyways great looking and thanks for making them wink_o.gif

i`m planning to make them heal themselves. Say +0.05% every second if the injuries arent very bad. As for the armor, 4-5 bullets to the chest should kill them.

It would be good to get some metal textures on them, cant you gloss up textures in PSP, i have it but use it for WW2 era pics and such

Well heres a little something for everyone waiting for version

1.2.

This version uses code from walmis' updates:

 -New sounds:

    -Added "gate shutdown" sound (walmis code)

    -New "chevron locked" sound (walmis code)

    -Added "Dialing failed" sound, it can be heard when gate cannot open a wormhole. (walmis code)

    -Added "gate stop" sound, it can be heard when gate is stopped in mid-dial. (walmis code)

    -New "gate open" sound. Sound really cool wink_o.gif (walmis code)

    -New "DHD" sounds. Can be heard when dhd buttons are pressed. (walmis code)

 -Misc modifications:

    -DHD now dials as it should (Unlike the slow dialing computer) (walmis code)

Many thx to walmis, he has added alot to this mod, we had developed the same changes but he implamented them better.

New DSFProductions Updates:

- Added Iris open and close sounds

- Added Iris splat sound

- Wrong direction of travel or entering gates from behind is now fatal

- The plasma (Splash) is fatal

- MP Ability

This version of the gates is multiplayer compatible, i have stress tested them but there are bound to be a few bugs.

If you find one and would like it fixed please post a note on our sites forums about it.

Note:

Using the Startai function of the gate in multiplayer requires changing your initilisation line to [this,gatein,gateout,1]exec "\SG_DHD\sqs\relay.sqf", sorry about this change i'll make it compatible with the orignal at a later date.

Oh and by the way i'm planning to release jaffa this week if not today  tounge2.gif

EDIT:

Found some bugs.

1. When the dhd button is pressed, a chevron locked sound can be heard

2. iris sound not synchronised with actual iris

3. when the gate is dialing and you stop it, you can hear the wormhole disengage sound, although wormhole is not established

4. On the second mission which came with the original stargate mod (xmp2), when you go to abydos, the second guy (a blackop) dies, the moment you step through the gate.

The gates will work in MP straight from the editor, no need to add any extra code.

However if you would like the gate to start dialing on its own (at the start of a mission?) then you can double click on the gate and add the line:

"[this,gatein,gateout,1]exec "\SG_DHD\sqs\relay.sqf"

replace the getein and gateout with the names of the relevent gates and your away.

In the orignal this code was:

"[this,gatein,gateout]exec "\SG_DHD\sqs\startai.sqf"

I was just making people aware of the changes.
