I'll be buying that upgrade... I'm having fun with BF2.

I unlocked the L85A1, which is the upgrade for the medic class, and so far I regret it. The weapon is awful - I was shooting at people 50m away with the optical aim post dead center on my target (I was firing stationary from an elevated standing position) and I could see my rounds impacting 10m away from the target.

Something is wrong with that - I'm far more accurate with the AK101, M16 or AK47 and iron sights than I am with an L85 and it's optic. Plus, I found out that the damage is actually weaker than all the other medic weapons, so for the three or four maps I played with it, I got very few kills, lots of kill assists and died way too many times because my targets could shoot back at me far more accurately than I could shoot at them.

I bought the game a few days ago and enjoyed it as light fun for a while. After a few rounds though, I got really fed up.

When I heard the critisism that BF was really dumbed-down and unrealistic, I just shrugged it off...he it can't be that bad. I'm not really a realism-nut myself - a bit of fun never hurt anybody.

But F00KIN 'ELL!!! What's this? Tanks being driven and gunned at the same time by only one player? Half a magazine of ammo needed to gun down a soldier? "Medics" just instantly bringing dead players back to life again and again? Unlimited supply of AT rockets? Dead soldiers and vehicles just VANISHING INTO OBLIVION IN 5 SECONDS?  

List is endless. I havn't read the thread but I'm guessing quite a few people feel the same way.

This is CS - but with vehicles. Maybe if EA kept their fat hands off, Dice could have went on to create the game they wanted. But nooooo...EA had to slap on their usual bang-up lame-ass job of dumbing down the game to a completely rediculous level [no offence to horizontally-unchallenged or mentally challenged people]. Hey...look on the bright side - at least now, oh, everyone can play it.

And this would most surely send a false message to younger people that war is a kickass playground of low-flying jets and marines running frantically all over the place trying to capture flags while under the protection of blue names hovering above their heads. Sad.

They were smart though...they put in a ranking system so that players that hated the game had something to play for. But even that was full of shit.

Not only the gameplay is flawed - the technical requirements are skyhigh...BF almost didn't even want to recognize the existance of my GF 5200 FX. I have to run everything on bare minimum settings.

And another thing...how the HELL do you fly those bloody jets?! Has anyone ever been recorded to successfully aim the jet at a ground target whilst flying?

No wonder why some people are pissed off by it. What a waste. I got suckered into believing the reviews, which all of the ones I've read have praised the game like mad.

You better unlocked the G36C if you hadn't already. I think it's the best weapon in game, presicive, powerfull and high firerate.

nah, the G3 is by far the best weapon. Highly accurate and with a good firerate. The only disadvantage is the small magazine and the that you can only carry smoke grenades with it!

when you unlock a weapon can you then use that weapon with any class ie medic or engineer ect ect or does each class have its own weapon you unlock?

No, G36C is as good as the G3 and also very lethal but whith 30 rounds magazine!

No you cant use it for every character in the game!

Getting kicked for TK is nothing new. Especially anoying is if you get punished by your victim even though he should have known better what the skull stands for. If you are a sniper then I suggest you dont place the mine next to the ladder on top of a roof. This is hard to identify for friendly players and you will definetly get a TK.

Placing mines inside a camp is always dangerous. Especially if you place them everywhere so no friendly vehicule finds a way out anymore. Jus stick to C4! it works much better. If often drive tanks into enemy bases and leave them behind with C4 on it. Once enemy gets in I blow them. Works best with choppers!  

You probably all know the chopper artillery trick?

One guy with C4 and one with reamunition capabilities inside a chopper. Now you can drop as many explosives into the enemy camp as you want. If the pilot is capable to keep the chopper on top of the enemy base then you will quickly get up to 20 kills or even more.

The only precondition must be that the enemy must be forced to spawn from only one base!

Get over it, BF2 isn't meant to be realistic its a fast pased shooter like UT2004 only different theme. Its totally the opposite of OFP.

Just because you get a new weapon doesnt mean you should stick to it all the time. Each map favours a certain type of equipment and it would be silly not to change just because only have one superior weapon!

Yee: Well, there's the Navy Seals, British SAS, Russian Spetznaz, MEC Special Forces and two insurgent groups, one of which is based on the MEC and one which will have Russian roots.

Great... uber 1337 SAS is just what the little kiddies want.

Just that it's looking really great at night, I think that the feel of combat and these intense firefights in the night areas and dark areas is looking really good. It really does give you a Special Forces experience in the Battlefield world.

You have too high hopes for the BF2 Comm. Most of them will cream pants at sights of Navy Seals, and then condemn the Spetz and the SAS as cheap rip offs.

Out of watching Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, and Enemy at the Gates, how many do you honestly think they know that sort of information?

The movies I listed above are the main contributing factors to a huge majority of armchair jingo-generals under the age of fifteen.

Special Forces sounds neat, but it only shows what EA has in mind. There are some real issues I would think they would want to address first before starting making another new game.

1) a few mindless rounds will make me sleepy. 2) it's going to hard-lock the system in short order, so that makes an easy out to pull the plug.

When you are in a squad of people you know using Ventrilo and shit you can get a really good thing going. Farmcoot and I have been crewing helicopters together for like 10 hours now, we have it down to a science...

But I mean, if you're going to criticise the game, than at least post something beyond a simple comment that has absolutly value at all, especially if repeated.

Saying EA is making a mistake about making an expansion before fixing their broken game is a criticising remark. Saying "Oh it's was a sleepy maky game!" is just immature and totally reverse and unexpected of the otherwise content and more mature members of this forum.

was on holiday last week, finally got a few more hours on it lastnight, gained a rank and got a hatfull of awards when do you getto unlock a weapon?

at the score of 1000 and then the next one at 10.000. But choose wisely. Currently there is too many with the G36 out there and surprisingly not enough medics and engineers. I found out the better the people and their weapons get the more valuable a sniper becomes.

Untill you get a new weapon you can always look around on the battlefield to find a good kit.

Yeah, half the time the guy who gets fragged in front of me dies too soon for a revive, but often if I'm in a situation where I'm alone and a medic I'll grab his weapon. By chance I get quite a few G36 and G3's.
