i got some questions about some of the units, and when to use them.

RESCO units: what operations does these units trained for? I guess they are some sort of rescue units, but what do they do?

IMEX Units: what are these guyes trained for, and when to use?

I realy love this pack, its something diffrent from all the american and russian units, nice to have something else to play with.

RESCO = CSAR http://ofrp.net/index.php?m=dd&ind=22

IMEX = IMediate EXtraction (mission still in beta stage)

I remember seeing some pictures of some kind of command interface a little while ago, it was shown with pictures of the Leclerc Tank, is that still an ongoing project?

RESCO is the french CSAR mission and belongs to the Armée de l'Air (French Air Force).

Like the US mission, it is about rescuing aircraft pilots, hidden inside enemy territory, after a long preparation time, intelligence needed and a lot a air support.

IMEX belongs to the French Army Aviation (ALAT : Aviation de l'Armée de Terre). During a heliborne operation, a few kilometers behind the the major action is a chopper with an IMEX team from the PRB platoon inside. If an attack or transport helicopter is either shot down or crashed itself, the IMEX chopper goes on the site and extract immediately the survivors, destroy wreck and secret documents,... The operation must be done in 10 minutes maximum.

ok, so the RESCO rescues pilots, but what about hostages? or soldiers being captured by enemy?

and the IMEX are some sort of demolition group??

soldiers captured.. 1er RPIMa(regiment parachutiste d'infanterie de marine) or navy commando..but i must be wrong on that rock.gif

Thanks for the information smile_o.gif

But since we got two pilot rescue units, it would be nice to see pilots without helmets in future realeses...

Hmmm... got to make some pilot rescue missions soon i think..

Having some problems with the rapelling! Maby i do something wrong.

I use the puma resco chopper, got a waypoint for the chopper where i put [Puma2,units RappelGroup] exec OFrP_PumaTRappel the combat mode is set to safe and speed to limmited, but sometimes only me (groupleader) get rapelled. my teammates are sitting inside the chopper, if they get out it takes a very long time before they do. I just tried it in the mission editor, maby that has something to do with it..??

Cuz as far as i see i do everything right

Which helo's do IMEX usually use?

Would be nice to see an Army version of the Puma with a mounted MG (RESCO Puma in the airpack).

Hey, excellent stuff!

But I am missing a soldier with AA-capabilities, so I remember the earlier packs contain a soldier who engages hostile aircrafts with the Eryx launcher. Or am I wrong?

So I consider there is no OFrP-Soldier with a MANPADS AA-launcher at this time, only mounted on tripods.

Is that right or did I miss that weapon?

Thanx for this great work, by the way!

you are wrong tounge_o.gif

Eryx is an ACCP (arme antichar courte portée = short range AT?)

OK, thanx for quick reply.

Does French Army have any AA- weapons carried by one single man? Or will they have to erect these AA-launchers on tripods in case of the presence of hostile aircrafts?

The AA missile in French army is the mistral. We have not AA weapon using by 1 guy.

But the mistral is better than stinger.

Ok, thanx for that second quick reply. smile_o.gif

It's interesting for mission making how to equip the OFrP- soldiers and not to give them the "Stinger" weapon if French Army doesn't use them.

Very cool guys. I was playing with the mortars (I know, I have few tricks and little imagination), and I loved the ringing in the ears and the moving of the shells. Awesome.

Excelent packs, I love the attention you guys prested to this addons.

Seeing that you have everything under control and not really much to improve, are you guys going to work on a campaign and some OPFOR for this packs? I know there is some good OPFOR addons out there, but you really want to make something that matches the quality of your mod. wink_o.gif Plenty of real life OPFOR for you guys to choose from.

Regards.

They are (some of them at least, not sure if they are member or partners of the OFrP dev team) are working on an OPFOR pack.

More infos there in french.

(use some translation tool like this or that if french is puzzling you)

But that part of the development is mostly top secret wink_o.gif and very few is known of this OPFOR pack

Thanks Sanctuary, its good to know.

I do understand writed French BTW  biggrin_o.gif  I'm Catalan.

BTW, is probably been mentioned, but I take it that the air units haven't been updated. I don't think there was any need for anyway, but I was hoping for more goodies, biggrin_o.gif like if it wasn't enough, lol.

Regards.
