dabitup 0 Posted July 4, 2005 How do people make such high quality pics? I have heard about "AntiAliasling" or something but am not sure how to implement it in OFP. One other question, I understand some people use photoshop...can you achieve the same quality using paintshop pro? thankyou, and I appologize for posting this question in the wrong forum. (I accidentaly posted in the photography thread, I didnt know you couldn't post question in there) Effects > Blur > Soften, in most cases improves the image. For explosion patching up (I do that a lot ), use the select freehand tool, put the feather up to about 20-40, select around the explosion, copy and paste an new layer (Ctrl + L), and change layer blending, merge layers, select explosion and change brightness/contrast (Then you can do stuff like put feather upto 200 and select around the explosion again, unlselect the explsion area with 10 feather brush and increase brightness etc) For patching up things like low-LOD forests, clone brush (Hardness : 0) from a closer forest, use soften touch up brush etc For smoke, make a new layer, select tool, feather 200 again, drag smallish circle, use fill tool to fill it with grey/white (Repeat a few times), and you can change layer blending etc, also using smudge to in circle-ish path can make it look better PSP layer thing is messy with lots of layers, Photoshop beats it hands-down for layery stuff, and for making graphics/sigs etc, but for editing photos/screenshots I find PSP faar easier. Finaly, remeber it doesn't matter if the mission slows your PC down when taking screenies, as screenshots are static (For the Afganistan assault pictures I never got more than 5FPS ) Hmm, anyone else have any tips for editing/taking screenshots? - Ben thanks..uhh...I will try that stuff later... jk thanks I appreciate it, I really do. HotShot 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Quote[/b] ]http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4886/ofp04july1s9wn.jpg This looks like a real Photo! In my opinion, that Mig (28?) with the new CSLA looks more realistic than any other OFP plane. Check Parvus's CSLA montage, the two Mig pictures in that look real too. Bottom left picture in the montage i really like though.
DBR_ONIX 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Those two little pics do look real Only "problem" is in the very bottom right, the cloud looks bit pixelized, but that is nit-picking CLSA's textures are.. amazing - Ben Oh, Eversman, you didn't un-image the IMG tag (remove a [)
ShadowY 0 Posted July 5, 2005 I`m glad that I have a crappy graphicscard, because overhere`it doesn`t look any real to me

I have 7, and used 6, both have the blur option somewhere in the File> Something menu Have a look around for soften under blur. If that fails, use the touch-up thing (The same icon as your mouse over a link, the hand), and use the tool options to change the brush size to about 30-60, and change the type (Can't remeber exact name, it's the second tab in tool options) to Soften. Then you can use this to patch up the edge of units (Sometimes a small brush of 10 is good for edge of soliders etc) It's very usefull if you need to blur a certain parts of an image, like this. - Ben

@cero 0 Posted July 10, 2005 I got a 5.5 special edition And blur is in there, so any version after 5.5 should have it too I supose. I know is very old and all that, but it do the job. I edit all my stuff with it, pics, signatures, etc. I have a disc in the house of "Creative suite 8" that a friend of mine gived me, and he recons is the dogs b####cs, so I may instal it, but I'm happy with 5.5 for the time being. @CERO.
