ok heres the problem....

there is no problem.

and thats a real problem  crazy_o.gif

in 7.0 no changes to hand grenades

in 7.1 script added to give grenades a 5 second fuse

in fixed config that script removed... sending hand grenades back to the way they were.

you still have a problem even after the fixed config.

which means this is a phantom problem that doesnt exsist... i cant fix whats not there crazy_o.gif

what rock.gif this is an problem i did dl ur fixed file and as the other person said PROBLEM NOT fixed rock.gif phantom problem that dont exsist wtf if it dont exsist then y the f is people haveing this problem? this is an bug something els mite be doing this i dont know, but to start from scratch on this from dl the patch come on mad_o.gif

all addons required are in the full installer. before releasing a full install i run the installer.. re-install Y2K3 to my computer.. and then run it to make sure i didnt forget any addons smile_o.gif

Well, untill I installed the Mod I had no addon conflicts, now the Mod has been installed I get the addon missing error box when I use the Mod.exe, then it crashes, so I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Thanks Jackal and Pappy for the suggestion about the drivers, I'll go ahead and check to see what version it is. The truth is I haven't updated in a long time, and maybe that is the problem.

I had the same grenade and AH1 problem...

AH1 problem fixed by installing Vit's AH1w v4Beta release - No Problem

The grenades???

I had Y2K3 installed before, from 7.0 all the way up thru all the recent patches - working fine apart from the occasional line of tracer-related error along the top of the screen..

I installed the 7.1 patch - AH1 & Grenades problem

Downloaded and installed the 7.1 full pack - problem gone! Grenades are back, and so is the timing script... both working fine

I've also reintroduced lasers rangers as special ops by following Pappys tutorial - no problems there either...

Working fine - looking great, and I like the new civs too smile_o.gif

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so if i dl the full instalation and iv got the patch 7.1 instaled already cant i just dl the full 7.1 and it will replace the patch one rock.gif so i dont have to delete the 7.1 patch y2k3 mod first i can just dl the 7.1 full to replace it so i dont lose all those missions iv made and stuff sad_o.gif errrrr mad_o.gif cant belive this sh!$ mad_o.gif

I just installed the full 7.1 pack over the top of everything else - added the latest Vit's chopper and it's fine...

It's the patch Pappy, definitely... dunno wot tho...

@1in1class... there's always problems m8, but there's ALWAYS fixes too...

lovelyy mod.

anyway here's soemthing strange...

when palying the official 3rd campaign (where you play as a russian) i was shot and needed medical attention. so i selected the medic and chose actions [6]. however instead of seeing actions i saw song titles but when i chose one he did an action.

i have just reinstalled ofp and fresh install of y2k3 7.1 full. it was only mod i was running (plus ecp that comes with y2k3 7.1)

could this please be confirmed?

lol you were near a civilian vehicle. when an action like "lower goggles" or something becomes "known" to the player then he can tell the AI to do it. so you were near a car.. and the ability to use the CD player had become known to you thus being able to tell the AI to do it.

ok your additude really needs readjusted because right now its a lil iggnorant. what i was saying.. is that there is no visable problem... in other words ive been over every pixel of code here and there isnt a single god damn thing wrong. welcome to Operation Flashpoint. where phantom problems can spawn without warning, and no matter what you do say or think.. the problem stays there. even thou its not there..

how bout this one.. on my game.. my install. i have "Crew" twice in my editor.. its only defined ONCE in the config. and defined NOWHERE else in my addons directory.. but yet.. there is it. Crew Crew. this is a bug.. a problem... yet config/code wise... theres no problem. nothing there that defines it twice, no script that makes it pop up twice.. no extra addon that puts it in there twice. thus its a phantom problem. phantom means ghost-like.. in other words its there.. but you cant do anything about it.

if you have the grenade problem then download the full install.. run it.. overwrite your Y2K3 directory.. it will overwrite your Y2K3\Addons folder, Y2K3\Bin folder, and Y2K3\DTA folder. any extra files like data.pbo or other sub folders and that in there will not be overwriten.. only the files included in the installer. so dont worry about it.

bushlurker: i know its the patch.. the fuckin evil spawn of satan that took me 3 months to develop and perfect.. still had bugs in it.. bugs that i corrected, rebundled and uploaded.. tested.. worked.. tested.. worked.. tested tested tested. worked every fucking time... but the minute it goes public.. the addon gods throw down a lightning bolt of horror and says "fuck you modders i shall defeat your perfection in everyway possible!"... this happens to every one of us modders. thats the way modding works. you spend 90% of your social life working on addons and mods for other people tweaking out every last bug.. and then BAM! right when u say "its released" it puts a curse on the whole fucking thing...., and yes i am pissed off. not at you people. just at the patch. no matter how hard u try... it never works. blues.gif ever ghostface.gif

right and the fix for the grenade bug is the Full Install. download it. i re-downloaded it from opflash.org so i can burn it onto a disk and it took me 50 minutes @ 200kbps

Dang it, I tried installing the nidiva drivers (71.89), but the problem still occurs. Often now it happens as the game freezes up for a minute or more and then crashes to the desktop.

Pappy, thank you for the mod but each update has a bug mainly missing addons message which stop some of the in-game cut scenes from loading. The extra file installer didn't help.

of course the extra file installer didnt work.. i dont use that anymore. 7.1 has it all in one installer.

and ive eliminated as many of those missing addons as i could find. ive been playing thru the entire 1985 campaign the entire red hammer campaign. i didnt get any

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do a fresh intall, patched to 1.96, then intalled 7.0 then 7.1 patch. After the training in the original campaigne, I get a missing addon message again "AH1...." and the in game cut scene never loaded up. I only had one type of this error in FFUR but that was quickly patched; however, FFUR is pretty laggy.

I've already told it bud , and more than once , there are several configs in FFUR , so if you notice any lag then try the Low config which uses only few effects or just have a look on the Multiplayer one which's a pure replacement of units smile_o.gif

Btw the incoming FFURv5.0 would be a lot better than the old versions, wait and see.

download the 7.1 full install.. why are people still download 7.0?  rock.gif

and if u get a missing addons error.. go to Y2K3\Bin\Configs

open up the config that your using.. and way at the bottom. the very very very bottom. you will see a list of preload addons. just add ,"addonname" before the }; and then use cpp2bin to rebin it and move that newly bined config into your Y2K3\Bin folder and ur problem is solved

Thank you Pappy! You're the best. The full 7.1 installer works. I suggest removing the patch though since its buggy.

Got a grenade problem as well. Not as it is unplayable, but can be annoying in some missions.

look at it this way... its realistic tounge_o.gif sometimes the fuses dont work.. so perhaps for that mission you just got some nades form a bad batch tounge_o.gif

if it gets to be a real problem then when locke releases his animation mod.. ill just take out the fused grenades (cuz that is the only foreseeable update in the near future)

DON'T remove the fused grenades.... pleeez! I LIKEM!!! I was just playing Trip2Hell3 (yet again!) and some Rusky bug**r lobbed a grenade at me... I was prone and (supposedly) hiding beside a chicken coop... it landed right in front of my face! There it was, clear as day and about a foot away! I got up and ran like hell! made it! though I was a bit shaky until I made it to the field hospital, then I felt a bit better...

Pretty realistic if you ask me... or maybe not, but helluva fun!

BTW - I dumped the full 7.1 and Vit's latest chopper directly over god knows how many Pappy updates and patches, etc and it runs fine... no errors whatsoever... I also have E:ECP AND T-Birds FFXUR installed... they all run fine... (I'll bulls**t about FPS another time...)

My mate just did a fresh install (1.96 + 7.1 full) and is getting wierd crashes and other stuff... there's something entirely non-Y2K3 related happening... I figured maybe directX/video drivers....

He was due an upgrade anyway, so he bought a new case and HD, some more memory, and a new monitor... tore the whole comp apart, rebuilt it and reinstalled from XP up... suddenly everything runs like a dream - now it wasn't the case, or the HD... more memory? maybe, but essentially it was the same machine inna diff box... so what was it???

Now I'm not advising savaging your comp just 'cause OFP or Y2K3 ain't behaving, but there's a lot of external stuff involved in game performance, and especially in OFP game performance! We all know it's one of the most semi-psychotic programs you're ever likely to run... when I'm in a good mood I count it as part of it's charm, but it IS a grumpy old bas***d sometimes...

I advise everybody 2 d/l and install the 7.1 full install... you know you want the full pack anyway... what if you need 2 format and reinstall? or wanna put it on another comp?

OK... enuff... I'm beginning to sound like Pappys PR dude and I don't even know the guy...

I read that I would have to get a complete 7.1 download. I am not doing that just for a lousy grenade! smile_o.gif

Anyway thanx for the mod, I never actually downloaded it before, for many reasons, but for some reason decided to get this time and it is great. CWC and Retaliation campaigns are awesome with Y2K3 Mod. smile_o.gif

speaking of performance... if yall have problems with performance you do know that there is a Unit-Replacment config in there that utilizes no effects at all. thus providing the best performance of all.

i know alot of people were swayed away by the full install size. the reason the install size isnt 300 megs.. is cuz the full compress installer is rather confusing to the average user. i went with looks and userinterface over compression this time around.

oh folks dont forget the Y2K3 skypack for NVG, wrist watch, and of course skys.

speaking of which if you do want to back up Y2K3.. dont forget about the Burn Kit on the Y2K3 site with DVD or CD jewl case inserts (front back sides) and the CD lable for the disc itself. also designed by me smile_o.gif

No don't remove the 5sec fuse on the nades, it great fun. I just played this mission in a town, some enemy launched a grenade next to me, but I just had enough time to run around the corner. biggrin_o.gif Quite scary moment.
