nope, more then the missing trucks...

but then i havnt encountered any heavy battle yet.... just a "small" Spetsnaz infiltration mission smile_o.gif

You can replace :

*G36 by InQ one

*Su25 by Silesian one

*XMS by InQ one

*desert island by InQ one

get it from InQ page

and the Su25 get it here

Somebody was working on that a while back (and giving them a proper OD paint job for normal Army use.) I don't know what ever became of the project. I imagine it's dead since the thread was from the beginning of the summer, as I recall.

It should be a pretty simple change for a talented modeler (read: not me. I'm still working on modeling a tire tounge_o.gif) to make.

SelectThis does not want any model editing on his blackhawk model.

He said retexture is ok and you must leave the 3d model as it is offcourse I edited it but only for personal use.

I guess I wasn't reading the forum when STT posted. I only saw the beginning in which he said he had BAS' permission to release it.

That's a bummer.

nope, doesnt work (rebooting doesnt do stuff)... I dont think mod replacement like this will ever work on mp, it allways froze after 15 min if I use this mod. I test em out also without a mod folder, problems still exist. This also happens when I use EECP too... Anyone have similar problems??

if anyone successfully play cti without crashing when using this mod, let me know.

for me it works as a charm....

only glitch is, sometimes (cant tell exactly at wich events becouse it varies) i get a CTD without error message.. but that only happens, like 10% of the times i start the game....

I had to hunt down a crew pack (cbt i think) to make this work fine.

In MP the vehicles bounce and about 10-15 minutes into the game it CTD.

Rather annoying because everything looks and sounds so much better. sad_o.gif

EDIT: Also, why isnt there a single pack for this?

Its rather annoying to have to download file apon file apon file, when one big RAR`d one should suffice.

Ok, thunderbird disabled the tracer_fx.

I had to delete the pbo, otherwise my ofp chrashes with wrong initline due tracer_fx. division by zero...

Hello all.

Could plz someone gimme a hand. I installed everything but keep getting following errors:

at game-start: no entry 'config.bin.cfgaddons'

in the mainmenue: no entry 'config.bin/cfgvehicles/all.transportmaxweapons'

i do start with shortcut (ofp v 1.96beta..): E:\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE -nosplash -mod= FlashFX

I tried copying everything to folder 'res' as well as to folder 'FlashFX' but with no success - same error.

Can someone give me a hint?

Do I need any other addons than these mentioned in this topic (1. post)?

Any comment is appreciated

Newbie question once again : the newest config.bin is supposed to go in FlashFX/bin to install as a mod ?

Ok... is there any way that we can make it work. I loved this mod sooo much, cause less lag than any other replacement mod such as EECP(even with better units) and Y2K3, I really want it to work on mp, I am sick with BIS units and model, need it something new...

Is there anyway we could actually edited the config bin without changing the parameters, or is it possible that we could just edit BIS res config bin just to change the model of units and weapon without adding anything else?? From what I looked that EXFlashFX config bin size is larger than BIS config bin size.

I heard Pappy bovington also working on replacement mod without ECP or FlashFX, correct me if I am wrong

Y2K3-PE config doesnt use all the ECP effects. only the ones worth while, and in doing so i aquire the same FPS with it as i do with default, out of the box, addonless, modless, installed OFP.

that aside the vehicle bouncing problem is unfixable.

this is due to the center of the model in the game. for instance. in Y2K3 the P3VS is replaced by the Zil 130... in playing MP the truck is burried half deep in the ground.

this is due to the Zil's higher center as opppsed to the POS, err P3VS truck being so small and low to the ground.

and since the server is using Res config.bin, it is projecting the Pv3S model and config parameters.

PS: dispite popular belief changing your config, say having an machine gunner have an M249 rather then an M60... wont work in MP, the server assigns you the M60 as per default BIS regs.

if you mod your config to have 200 rounds of ammo for the PK and M60, the server will only allow you 100.

the server overrides any changes at all. from models to ammo to ensure that you are using the same shit as everyone else.

Everything works online with this config on my computer , please check all patchs , put all in Res/addons directory or in your addons repertory ,I've replaced BIS config with mine , and everything functions...

I really don't know why you get a CTD...But I'll remove some FlashFX scripts , and if it won't function , I'll use BIS config to do new modifications...

My real Objectif is to be able to play online with new addons wink_o.gif I'll do all efforts to accomplish that smile_o.gif

Do you think you could update the begining of this thread with an updated list of units changes and added effects, plus a link to the newest version?

Also do you include a unbinarized version of the config cpp for editing?

Ooops, latest config.bin gives me a CTD ... I probably missed an addon somewhere since I installed FFX-UR from the very first day it was available. Maybe I should re-install the whole stuff.

I'll tell you what, it would be SOOO nice if some gentleman could make a simple readme.txt with simply where to copy which files.... a bit like this :

FlashFX/addons :

@gothico: thx, but i already had the correct file. I tempered around with the mess and it worked after a complete rollback. The trick: i added config.cpp (from marine assault pack: ConfigMAP5.zip at digitalgranade) to the bin-dir. I wonder why it it works, but no more 'no entrys anymore'. Is there another config.cpp that i should use?

i am to lazy and to confused to write a whole new installation manual. Doublecheck if u have ALL files !!! SOmewhere i found another place with (maybe an older) filelist for flashfx-mod and I had to download some additional files.

Now here is something more substantial: I did not copy anything to ras-folders but al to my brandnew flashfx-folder (the pro's would call ist mod-installation... i guess). I made a dir-printout for u to check f u have all in the right place - as far as i can tell

Dont wonder, some words in german... hope, it helps anyway

I think you misunderstood something , you can't use my config from the Marine Assault Pack unit replacement mod you found on digitalgrenade to play the mod from this thread.

My mod is different from the mod of this thread (or Y2K3, or E:ECP) and so use a different config file

The only explanation you don't have any error while using my config is because apparently you have the Marine Assault Pack files in your Addons folder (TACTEvents.pbo, c8xmag.pbo,C8X_russ.pbo, C8X_usmc.pbo, SUCHusmc.pbo, SUCHrus.pbo) and so in fact by using my config you are playing with my replacement mod instead of the mod from this thread .

If you have an error with mod from this thread, it can be a missing addon file (that is the most common error, on E:ECP i had such errors by forgetting to include a file) or a problem in the author of this mod own config.bin/config.cpp.
