seminara 4 Posted January 17, 2005 Have you tried to add  -nomap to your OFP shortcut for that mod ?Because grey screens are talked about in this thread Yes thanks, and I've tried running it as a MOD and by temporarily replacing the bin folder in the RES folder. I do get into OFP and see the main selection screen and I can play via normal Resistance mode or via my Y2K3 Mod. It only goes grey after I've clicked on a mission title. It seems like a addon conflict perhaps?? I get the following message at start up but I doubt it's meaningful: No entry 'config.bin/CfgWeapons.garand' Also - can you tell me what's the file name for the tracer addon? If I read correctly this may be causing conflicts? Finally, in that link you suggested they talk about changing the AGP aperture to be 128mb at the highest and maybe as low as 64mb. How do you change this and will it effect things like Photoshop? I've just installed an XFX GF6800 Ultra 256MB graphics card so I'm not sure what that beast requires. Thanks and sorry to be long winded!
seminara 4 Posted January 17, 2005 I'm uploading a Complete pack with all addons needed , working config ...etc   I'll need 2 hours , maybe 3 or 4... ps: I've done new replacements  Thank you all , thanks a lot and excuse me for all mistakes that occur on the thread Sounds Great Thunderbird. If there are any PBO files that are known to cause conflicts and need to be deleted, could you please state that in a ReadMe file? Thanks!

Thanks and sorry to be long winded! Well, if other mods like Y2K3 works without problems for you and you have tried -nomap for this one , i advice not to change the aperture size (following the good old saying "when something work do not break it" ) as i highly doubt it will solve your problem, noticing several users have problems. Maybe there is an addon making a conflict with another or there is a missing one, but as i don't play this mod i can't test. Unfortunately i have no idea about the tracer mod name , but i guess it is the one from ]this thread if you need the pbo name.
the_shadow 0 Posted January 17, 2005 um, dont know exatly how to put this but.... sometimes i get a CTD and a error message that says "missing texture" i dont know what causes this, might not even be this mod, but it sure looks as it as it doesnt really matter what other addon i use beside the replacement pack. most common though is when i quickley turn around and i have a truck or a bushranger (or whatever the name is) Huey close by.... might be some lod that causes it. QBA69 1 Posted January 18, 2005 Hi, WOW - over 200 MB to dowload in a single file?! And what about all the modem users - please do not forget about them. Releasing this mod in a separate files - as you used to do before - would be a nice thing - then more people could install this great mod in its final version. Hope I'm not the only one here ;) Cheers, voodzia

seminara 4 Posted January 18, 2005 I think the whole point in having one file is that it made life easier? Â Even on a modem, I personally prefer the one file option. Â Thanks again Thunderbird.
seminara 4 Posted January 18, 2005 OK, I'm about to attempt this again - now that I've Norton Ghost'd back to my previous disk image. Â I'd like to clarify one last issue before proceeding: With these addons, can I simply create a seperate FLASHFX MOD folder or do I 'need' to create different BIN, ADDON and DTA folders in the RES folder? I would honestly prefer the MOD folder option as messing with the RES folder opens up loads of possibilities for major heartache! Cheers

Hi, To install this mod as a mod ;) - I mean in a separate dir you have to create a new folder (I called it ffmu) and then create these 3 dirs in there: 1. bin (config.bin goes there) 2. addons (all requiered addons go there) 3. dta (anim.pbo goes there) And that all. It works just great for me. Have fun! voodzia

QBA69 1 Posted January 18, 2005 Great, thanks for the clarification! You're welcome. And don't forget to add "-mod=ffmu" to your OFP desktop shorcut command/target statement line (or just place a semicolon after the one you already have there e.g. "D:\OFP\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE -nosplash -nomap -mod=bas;ffmu") Cheers, voodzia
