I'm not sure why who's Harrier is favourite needs to be contested when their of completely different generations, their scripts for stuff like STOVL might be comparable but their use within the game is separated by the period of history they represent. It's not like we can choose to delete one in favour of replacing the other seeing as their almost completely different aircraft, and their use is largely dependant on which theater of war the player wishes to play... but so long as their transition from conventional flight to a hover requires a stopping distance that is somewhat shorter than that of a supertanker this time, I'll be happy.

I'm confident both will kick-ass and I'll be very happy to have both in my addon collection.

Someone should really make a Gr.Mk.7/9 though...

I'm very interested in the AV-8B Harrier II, the picks look great. But I'm concerned about about the whole mod package deal. I'm not sure I want to download an entire mod package for a single addon or two.

Considering I made the Falklands Harrier I just wish to state that I did not create it to be competitive with anyone. I really dont give a rats a** who's is better than whose. I made it because I enjoyed making it. That said the Sea Harrier and its RAF sister, the Harrier GR3, for the mod will have a much improved v/stol system, improved ejection seat, and the cockpit area has had an overhaul.

And please dont get into the who's is best bit because it serves no purpose but to embitter those who promote it. I have seen many good addon makers disappear from the OFP scene because of the, should I be bold to say it? ... apparent childish behaviour of people who wish to say 'mine is better than yours!"

The Falklands Sea Harrier and GR3 are built for the Falkland's mod.. if people wish to use it for other purposes outside the Falklands scenario, that is great.. I agree that the USMC AV8B is for a totally different scenarios.

All I say is have fun with OFP and get off this 'oneupmanship' nonsense as it is totally uncalled for and doesn't encourage people to continue creating anything for the game.

as IRL i dont think there is any one use a harrier like the USMC do, on the other hand, USMC's harrier is not operate like their sisters at the RAF or royal navy

these addon are made to fit for their own mod, so the hold "who better then who" thing is notthing more then a huge dump of BS

I think the Falklands Harrier is awsome dispite the age and beta condition, i was really blown by the model, textures and animated parts when it came out for public betatest and enjoyment. Cant wait to get my hands on the final ones .
