DanAK47 1 Posted September 18, 2004 This does not use scripting and does not overwrite the anim.pbo. I spent all day working on it and felt like showwing it off, even though everything won't be ready for some time. By the way, the M14s are 99% done.
GoOB 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Wow, they look great. And the same to those units Does it work in any way like the USMChandsignals that were released in conjunction with a mission not long ago?
Billabong81 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Wow, Dan....TERRIFIC! I can't wait for both this and your M14s .
Parker Hale 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Looks great but i do feel that the guy would be rather unstable in that position. Is it a static anim or a complete sequence? Parker Hale
DanAK47 1 Posted September 18, 2004 Complete sequence. I don't know how the hand signals are used but it works just like any other movement you would normally do.
Parker Hale 0 Posted September 18, 2004 My earlier comment was based on the fact of not knowing whether the anim was static or a sequence, now i know that it is a sequence then i say that it looks great and would indeed be very useful for being able to move to a new covering position. Great looking weapon as well. Parker Hale
gandalf the white 0 Posted September 18, 2004 SWEET!! gonna make a sideway's animation too? how fast is it gonna be? wanna make two speeds? ( with and without F ) looks promising
DanAK47 1 Posted September 18, 2004 Yeah, I'm gonna try and emulate the Rogue Spear movement. Crouch will have side to side, backwards, etc. I will also make a faster version where you are hunched over. I have already done some different walking animations, which are smoother. The crouch looks a little strange with the gun up, but I wanted you to be able to shoot. I may be able to make an AI version without it.

Billabong81 0 Posted September 18, 2004 By the way, what units are used in those screenshots ?
DanAK47 1 Posted September 18, 2004 Some generic guerrillas I have been working on.
Shalashaska 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Some generic guerrillas I have been working on. Damn good looking for generic guerillas.
Pappy Boyington 0 Posted September 19, 2004 looks really nice. id liek to replace the default anim.pbo crouch movment with this... then again i dont think it has a crouch movment (hence the standing up and running) the only thing is the stationary crouch but if i could replace the anim.pbo ones with your's then i would leave dreamyknights crouching one
mcpxxl 2 Posted September 19, 2004 Yes looks verry interisting :-)
Drill Sergeant 0 Posted September 19, 2004 How is it applied? Script or built into the unit?
DanAK47 1 Posted September 19, 2004 Pappy, it's not stationary. Just looks like it because the legs are passing eachother. It's built into the unit.
ebns72 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Awesome! Crouched movement finally! And...GENERIC gorillas!!! I have been thinking about making these for quite some time, cause we need em. I don't want to fight russians anymore or any certain country, just generic units... btw, at first I thought that was americas army or something, didn't even recognize it as opflash!
Mr Crow 0 Posted September 19, 2004 It's built into the unit. Will this automatically transfer to other units then as long as your .pbo is installed? Or will it only work on your units? Would addon makers have to edit their own units to use this?
DanAK47 1 Posted September 19, 2004 Only works on my units. But you can refer to the moves it uses to get it to work and it would probably be possible to make a mod that causes all units to use it.
mr reality 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Some generic guerrillas I have been working on. These units look pretty sweet can you tell us if they will be available to us mere mortals in the not too distant future or are you keeping them all to yourself.
Billabong81 0 Posted September 26, 2004 Any updates on this? The units or animations .
DanAK47 1 Posted September 26, 2004 Did all of the slow crouched (rice paddy prone) movement, gotta do fast crouched (hunched over) movement now. I have been procrastinating when it comes to OFP stuff recently. Got a lot more stuff to do for the units so it will be a while.
FerretFangs 0 Posted September 26, 2004 That would be "guerillas," unless you are talkiing about the great apes. Just saying.... But then, I've been drinking a bit.
