Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted September 5, 2004 AWESOME!!! I'm not sure what I can them for, but they will add a lot to a mission! Reminds me of this old game "LHX" where I used to blow up the camals with hellfires This guy with his elefant addon can also use this to make it work? Good news for him I guess. Yes, he can use the same method but he will need new animations for his elephant and a new cfgmoves class cause the elephant is much bigger animal and moves in a very different way

reedkiller 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Does this pack come with any heavy artillary scripts? 9 o'clock Ememy Cow 2, 6, 8, 12 Engage Cow 9 o'clock 2 Engageing oh no, 8 is down 2 is down oh no 12 is down 6 wounded darn cows could you reduce the ducks strenth? they shouldnt be knocking out my M1A2s so fast on open ground. Could u also put the ducks on the soviet side? Dont think much to the cows comoflage - its not good for woodland ambush missions. You could make 2 cows - one black and white and one stelth. Heres a pic of a soviet prototype stealth cow (1972)
stlkd 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Hey mig great pack but have you ever thought about doing some deer? It would be nice change to the normal killing of people to the hunting of animals. And maybe if possible have some scripts so they run away from you?

Colossus 2 Posted September 6, 2004 11 letters to say to you: Ooooooooooh PS: I'm dispointed that BIS hasn't released a animal pack to OFP. Â Â Â After all this years and no camel for the OFP people
cbfasi 4 Posted September 6, 2004 Only dissappointment was the lack of a very common animal, espeaiclly in Wales, New Zealand and the Falklands..... Sheep...

miles teg 1 Posted September 6, 2004 Coool! Thanks Mig! Yeah we should be able to make our camel animated then. Right now our main problem is texturing it. Anyone out there know how to texture a camel? If anyone is a good texturer and is interested on working on the camel please PM me or Calm Terror and we'll send the addon to you to texture. NetWalker 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Oh yeah ! now we need some missions with this pack. If someone make a mission using them, please let us know in this thread ! thx !
orson 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Goats would be more usefull in desert mission as camels are not as common place as you imagine in Iraq etc , except at barbeques  I'm not talking about just Iraq, I'm talking about anywhere in the Middle East and YES they are VERY common in the Middle East.  I used to live in Saudi Arabia, I've been to Bahrain, and I did a training exercise in Egypt with the US Army where I saw plenty of camels in the desert.  Yes goats are common also, but so are camels in many rural parts of the Middle East.  Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD> Yep , i lived in Saudi and Kuwait for 5 years in all , and only remember ever seeing a handfull of camels ,but these are very developed in comparison to most other Arabic countries . Egypt still has lots but they are they are mainly for tourism and are the equivilant of the UK's seaside donkeys. Gone are the days of Bedouin camel trains. *edit* Just like to add , i set up a squad of animals , one of each type and watched as they wandered past , in tears of laughter ......... but overcome with sadness after killing them all ........... this was a worse expierience than watching 50+ Lego men fighting to the death . Childhood memorys smashed
miles teg 1 Posted September 6, 2004 Well I was in Saudi Arabia a long time ago, and while most of the bedhoins used Toyota pickups, we still ran into some using camels, or at least they had some at their base camps. Also racing camels are still highly prized. Then there are also just wild camels roaming around. But in Egypt they had a lot of them and I actually did see some camel caravans going across the desert near Mubarak Military City as they passed by my unit. Because of the extreme poverty in many parts of Egypt, the camel there is still perhaps a cost effective way of transporting goods between towns for families that can not afford to transport their goods via truck. Plus the milk can be drank and the camels can be eaten. I actually ate BBQ camel while in Riyadh. It actually was rather tasty. Apollo 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Because of the extreme poverty in many parts of Egypt, the camel there is still perhaps a cost effective way of transporting goods Well ,with the extreme rises in oil prices i wouldn't be surprized if we soon going to see whole collums of camels on our highways. Wonderfull addons Mig. One request ,could you make a drivable horse? It could be used for a lot of thing's ,napoleonitic mod ,middle east scenario's ,WW2 ,etc.
bardamu 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Nice pack adds a lot to ofp ambiance. We needs sheep, donkeys and camels ,i hope those are planed.
miles teg 1 Posted September 6, 2004 The donkey is in there.... or was it a mule? LOL! What we need is an assault donkey like the one pulling that cart with artillery rockets in Iraq used during that attack in a hotel in the green zone in Baghdad. tankieboy 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Brings about the question of mountable horses? PUKF could do the HCR then, lol.

miles teg 1 Posted September 6, 2004 Brings about the question of mountable horses?PUKF could do the HCR then, lol. The tough part about mountable horses is that these animals are based as soldier classes. If you made it a car or tank class it would leave tire or tank tread marks and who knows if the animations could be tied to a vehicle class's acceleration. It would be awesome if this problem area could be overcome, but so far I'm just happy to have ANY animals. I hope that at least in OFP2 they have ridable animals and some type of hand to hand combat engine in order to develop historical mods in pre-firearm or bayonet charge historical periods. I want Roman Legions in OFP! Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>
